For Sale: 1965 Chevrolet Corvette in Hiram, Georgia

Vehicle Description

This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Red Convertible is located in Bradenton, FL and offered by a classic car dealer. America's only true sports car, the Corvette, got subtle refinements in the body in 1965. It also has a Vin number of #194676S100047 which means it was the 47th Corvette made that year! Features 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Red Convertible High-quality restoration of a 1965 Corvette Roadster #3782870 Casting number on back of block 327-cubic-inch V8 300 horse engine that was only made in 1965 Rams head cast iron exhaust manifolds Dual exhaust system 4-barrell carb Chrome open air cleaner Factory finned aluminum Chevrolet script valve covers Orange painted block, heads, and intake Shielded distributor H.D. radiator Muncie 4-speed Restored black individual twin bucket-seats Black carpet, door panels, dual sun visors Matched speedometer and tachometer Primary instruments in the Sting Ray with a re-settable trip odometer, head-light switch, radio, head-lamp retractor switch, hood release, and four-position ignition switch to complete the instrument panel with the great factory wood steering wheel Bright red paint 15-inch Rallye wheels with chrome trim rings and caps Redline tires which recreate the original look Mechanical This engine gives sprightly around-town performance and cruises at highway speeds at no more than an easy loaf. Those 327's had new cylinder heads with bigger inlet valves, used hydraulic valve lifters, wedge-type combustion chambers, long-life rams head cast iron exhaust manifolds, dual exhaust system, and a tailored 4-barrell. Ours has the correct chrome open air cleaner, factory finned aluminum Chevrolet script valve covers, orange painted block, heads, and intake, shielded distributor, H.D. radiator, and backed by a Muncie 4-speed and a correctly restored chassis with all the right parts. Interior This restored Sting Ray offers a completely luxurious driving environment. For 1965, the interior features new trim of durable expanded vinyl with a more subtle texture in black and has individual twin bucket-type seats that have a factory bolster-like design for more seating comfort and better lateral support. The black theme extends to the carpet, door panels, and dual sun visors with controls for the outside-air-type heater and defroster located on the central console along with the electrical clock and radio controls and vent controls that are located under the instrument panel on each side of the steering column. Matched speedometer and tachometer are the primary instruments in the Sting Ray with a re-settable trip odometer, head-light switch, radio, head-lamp retractor switch, hood release, and four-position ignition switch to complete the instrument panel with the great factory wood steering wheel also. Exterior The styling changes on our 1965 Sting Ray are beautiful and ours is covered with its bright red paint job flowing over the hood and louvers behind the front wheels that help increase air flow through the engine compartment, giving it both an aggressive and sophisticated look. All the emblems, the rear bumpers and taillights, door handles, the flip-up gas cap, and the black convertible top remain in restored as-new condition as well as the correct 15-inch Rallye wheels with chrome trim rings and caps and red line tires which recreate the original look. Conclusion More than ever previously, the 1965 restored Corvette Roadster we have here at Skyway Classics is luxurious transportation for two, backed by the 327 cubic inch engine that will give you a sporty and pleasant driving experience.
