custom has been restored with no expense spared and with a unique
and truly singular vision. Most people who own or hanker for a 1957
Fairlane 500 two door hardtop want either a fully restored
showpiece or a mildly modified custom rod. This build takes a
slightly different approach to say the least! How about a
"Pro-streeter" thats truly streetable (right down to a full size
rear seat for the kids!) with a screaming 428 BB V8 with an equal
measure of 50's amp; 60's flavor blended in!This project was
started with an extremely clean Arizona body car, the metal is
laser straight and the Black paint shines like a mirror with the
striking Copper highlights setting it off perfectly! There is a
reportedly easily over 6 figure + build. The car handles
surprisingly well in city driving even with the steep gearing with
the power and torque of the engine channeled through the specially
built heavy duty top loaded 4 speed transmission. The details of
the build are enough to make your head spin and as you can tell it
is a totally professionally built car, not some backyard project! If
one constant for any pro street car (or truck for that matter) it
is the steamroller size rear tires, stuffed behind stock wheel
openings in wheel tubs huge enough to take a bath in. Whilst the
first two thirds of the frame is original Ford issue, the back
portion was replaced with a drastically narrowed 2x4 inch box
section frame. instead of semi elliptic leaf s...for more
