Vehicle Description
Do you just want to be in the parade or do you want to lead it with
this 1923 Ford Model T coupe? This is the vehicle that put America
on wheels, and this example has a more unique style and a
driver-ready attitude. Plus, there's just something extra alluring
about picking up this car today so that you can celebrate its 100th
anniversary soon.
The Model T coupe is an interesting car. After all, we're used to
seeing plenty from the series, but most of them are open-top
touring sedans. The coupe is a rarer body style that adds a touch
of sophistication to the everyman car. After all, you get a
weather-friendly full body with upright glass, a two-piece
windshield, and an overall distinct upgrading style. This is Henry
Ford's famous black, and while it is not the original paint, it was
done 30 years ago and has a nice aged look today. So there are some
people who may even assume you still have the original black. And
there are terrific little details, like the manual windshield
wiper, rear-mounted spare tire, and brass squeeze horn.
The closed body means less weather comes in and you can have an
interior done in cloth. It was redone in a nice mix of tweed and
mohair, so much like the exterior, some onlookers will assume it's
original (we won't tell the secret if you won't.) The dash is a
simple affair, with just controls for the ignition system and an
ammeter. Controls will be familiar to anyone who's driven a Model
T, but if you've never piloted this famous Ford, don't worry
because millions have mastered it before you. Working the controls
is part of this car's charm.
The Model T's powerplant was the trusty 177 cubic-inch inline-four.
This might not be large by today's standards, but the torque-filled
powerhouse knew how to easily outpace the horse and buggy. It has
been well-maintained so that the timing is right on for a strong
runner, and so you'll be surprised at how much you'll enjoy driving
it. The motor has a very honest presentation, so it has the kind of
style where you won't be afraid to work within the ample space of
the engine bay. In fact, you'll even spot some nice features like
newer wiring.
This Model T has been under long-term care by one family, and so
there is an honest but solid style that's terrific, right down to
the wood wheels. So as much as you love seeing it in the pictures,
it will be even more fun showing it off at the events. Don't miss
this T coupe, call today!
