Vehicle Description
1939 Buick Business Coupe Restomod!! This is not your typical
restomod that you will see at your local car show, this truly is a
very rare and unique automobile. It took about 5 years, hundreds of
hours and lots of money invested to get this Buick where it is
today. During the restoration her original gorgeous body lines and
curves were preserved to make her look original on the outside but
upgrades were made to the car to make it safer, more reliable and
more fun to drive! Power steering, power disc brakes, air
conditioning, fuel injection and Bluetooth are just a few special
features this Buick has to offer. The upgrades on the frame and
suspension were handled by hales speed shop in Texas. The center
x-member was removed from the factory frame and the rails were
boxed. The front end was converted to a Farman Fabrications MII
stage II system, with 2-inch drop spindles for a street Rod stance
and a power rack for effortless maneuvering. Ride quality is
improved by QA1 shocks and springs mounted on all 4 corners. The
power transfers to the tires by the Quick Performance Racing 9 inch
rear end with 3.90 gears, 31 spline axles and a locker posi
differential. Another huge improvement was the stopping. The car
stops exceptionally well thanks to the Wilwood 11 inch front disc
brakes and 11 inch rear drums plumbed to a reverse 90-degree under
dash master cylinder and booster setup from Kugel Komponents. The
power is delivered by a GM 376 cubic inch LS3 engine that makes 525
horsepower and 435 lb ft of torque. The polished stainless fuel
rail covers are from American Car Craft and dress up the engine bay
nicely. The spectre performance intake system draws cold air from
the rear of the engine compartment through filtered intake tubes
feeding a custom throttle body. The LS is paired with a 4L70E
overdrive transmission and a driveshaft from Automotive Driveline
Supply. The 3 inch exhaust system tucks up for ground clearance and
has a nice throaty sound to it.
