Vehicle Description
This 1929 Ford 5-Window Coupe is coming off of 54 years with the
same owner. So it's not a tribute to the kind of street machines
that were featured in American Graffiti... it really lived American
Graffiti! This one has all the right hot rod details like solid V8
power, an upgraded suspension, and bold paint. And as you dig
deeper, you're going to see additional details that make this an
even more unique and comfortable cruiser.
This is a real classic Ford coupe done from a real steel body. So
it has a level of authenticity that is already irresistible. And
the fact that it has spent more than half of its life thus far
under one owner makes for a true classic with a terrific story. And
this one wants to tell its tale. You see it in the way the bold
yellow paint has a nice gloss, but you can also see it has been
driven. So if some ask you if you're related to John Milner, you
can tell them about the real-life adventures of long-term ownership
where this coupe was so well built that we're told it went on
multiple cross country trips to the Street Rod Nationals! And like
a good custom car, it evolved over time. You see that best up front
where you have the classic motometer-style radiator mascot and
newer crystal clear headlights. So you'll love the proper hot rod
details, like the Mclean wire wheels, steel running boards, and
three inches chopped out of the roof. And there are plenty of
modern details, like the LED tail lights, roof-mounted antenna,
rear racing stripe, and center-exit dual exhaust.
Open the door to a thoughtfully done custom interior. The exterior
yellow returns on the dash, steering column, and door tops. And now
it's joined by a tasteful tan. It has a good look in the
fundamentals and an overall driver-ready attitude. That's why you
have nice upgrades like a cup holder floor console and an upgraded
AM/FM/CD stereo mounted in the headliner. There are even provisions
for features like power windows and air conditioning, but they will
need servicing to full function again. Plus, the Lecarra sports
steering wheel, Corvette tilt column, Lokar shifter, and a full set
of crisp Classic Instruments gauges make this ready to hit the
road.
The engine bay is full of style and function. There are some
polished components for the right kind of display, and at the
center is a fresher Jasper crate motor that we're told was added
about 4k miles ago. This 350 cubic-inch V8 was built with the
features you really want, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor,
an Edelbrock high-rise intake, and an aluminum radiator with
electric fan. Long-term care means you are going to spot solid
investments throughout the engine bay, including a new water pump
in 2020. It makes for a healthy power package that connects to a
three-speed automatic transmission for ideal all-around enjoyment.
And the cruiser attitude continues with upgrades like the tubular
A-arm front suspension, four-link rear with adjustable coilovers,
power steering, and power brakes with front discs. It's all part of
a package that's ready for its next tour.
The sale comes complete with service manuals, wiring diagrams, and
magazine features. It's time to live your own American Graffiti
cruising adventure. Call today!!!
