For Sale: 1973 MG MGB GT in Deep River, Connecticut

Vehicle Description

1973 MGB GT Overdrive Project/Parts Car

Yup, she's rusty... real rusty. However, once upon a time she was driven and enjoyed. The car was purchased as a daily driver when she was nearly new back in the mid to late 70's. She's been part of the same family ever since. She was driven into the 90's when she started smoking a bit. The problem was diagnosed as a couple of bad valves. She was pulled off the road, the valve job never getting done. She's been shifted about the property since then, unfortunately, Mother Earth slowly taking her back, one FE2O3 ion at a time.

Is she savable? There are those who will tell you that anything is, with enough, money, time, skills and patience. You'll need boatloads of all 4 with this girl.

If one believes that a car can give its parts to save another, maybe this one is a prime candidate.

First off, she has a black label Overdrive transmission, shifting into OD in both 3rd and 4th gears. The original engine is easily rebuildable, the glass is good (aside from the windshield), the splined/wire wheel axles and wheels are good and can easily be refurbished. There may be other small minutia that can used as well.

Bring her back to life or use her to save another.

Price is $1500.

Questions, for many more photos, to schedule a time to see her or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for the interest.
