Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams Texas as we celebrate our 23rd year in the
classic and muscle car business. We are always happy to present you
with another dreamy classic car. As America's longest lived sports
car, every generation of the Chevrolet Corvette is collected and
admired by different types of people for various reasons. When
pressed, however, most of these people would place the C2 (2nd
gen., 1963-1967) at the top of the Corvette hierarchy. And at the
pinnacle of desirability for C2 Sting Rays are the big block cars
(1965-1967) that cemented the Corvette's legendary status. This
gorgeous Goldwood Yellow (XX) 1965 Corvette convertible is an
excellent example of the first year of the fire-breathing big
blocks. Lurking beneath the correct domed hood is the fierce
396/425 (BCN 3855962, CD C 17 5 or 3/17/65) which sends its copious
power through a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, then back to
the correct (AU=1965 4-speed, 396, 3.36 Posi) rear end. The block
of this engine has been decked, but the block casting date (C 17 5)
and the rear end assembly date (4 12 65) both correctly precede the
body build date (J13, or May 13). The car sports beautiful paint, a
new top, and good trim, upholstery, carpet, and gauges. Comfort and
reliability have been enhanced with tasteful upgrades including a
Vintage Air A/C system with aluminum radiator, MSD ignition, and
gold stripe radial tires on knock-off wheels. You haven't lived
until you've run a big block Sting Ray down a country road with the
top down. Be aware, however, that it's VERY addictive! Street
Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist
with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
