This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is a restored coupe that has a wonderful
bright blue presentation throughout. And while you'll enjoy looking
through the pics, you'll also spot the rebuilt V8, iconic hardtop,
and plenty of desirable details that make this a very sharp looking
and solid driving cruiser.
A first-gen T-bird upgraded to a pastel-like blue has the right
makings for a dream car. After all, it's a car that is an icon of
its era, and the color gives it a bright and cheery style that
makes strangers want to tell people about your car even if they
just catch a glimpse on the street.
And what also makes this one memorable is the way it gets all the
details correct. It includes fender skirts, a bright mesh grille, a
sporty hood scoop, whitewall tires, and the exhaust coming through
the rear bumper. And everything from the shine of the bumpers to
the fit of the panels (including those big doors) has the kind of
quality style that will have people wanting to use this for photo
shoots.
The color-matched hardtop has the porthole window, and so you may
just like keeping this as a coupe. But when you do take it off for
some roadster style, you'll be showcasing a distinctly attractive
two-tone blue interior. It's a clean and comprehensive package
where (just like the exterior) there has been a solid overall
investment so that you can show this off with pride. The '57 model
is desirable because it takes the cool cruiser style and gives it
some added sporty flair. So the machine-turned panel on the dash
and a full gauge package, including tach. Plus, there are nice
details everywhere from the classic steering wheel done in blue, to
the dash light that greets you when the door opens. And the
retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette is a well-integrated
addition that really upgrades your driving music.
The larger "Thunderbird Special" motor was a nice option in '57.
Not only is this a true D-code car, but the motor has the right
codes to be an era-correct 312 cubic-inch V8. The low 4,100 miles
on the odometer represents since the motor was rebuilt, and you can
see they took their time getting the style right. Ford red paint on
the block, Thunderbird valve covers, and lots of correct components
- right down to FoMoCo hoses - look great in a very authentically
presented engine bay. And as you look underneath, you also see
plenty of fresh components, including control arms, rear shocks,
bushings, fuel tank, and even the driveshaft. All of this should
tell you that you're looking at a Thunderbird that's not just meant
for Sunday car shows, but also it's ideal for Sunday drives, too.
That's why you get easy driving features like power steering, power
brakes with front discs, and the Ford-O-Matic automatic
transmission.
The sale comes complete with owner's manual, service manuals, and a
car cover. Thunderbirds have a cool cruising attitude for people of
distinction, and this one really turns it up a few notches. So if
you want a car that's easy to drive anywhere and impresses
everywhere, don't miss this T-bird. Call today!!!
