GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1947 Jeep "J-Bucket"
custom for purchase. Popularized in television shows like '77
Sunset Strip and then taken over with the "Greaser" movement, cars
known as "T-Buckets" have a special place in classic car folklore.
Having a fast car in the 50's was not such an easy task with the
weight of American production vehicles. Using a pre-WWII frame and
dropping an engine in to the simple drive train became a popular
way of finding some speed. The "T-Bucket" usually features a front
radiator, straight windshield, and some sort of custom (and usually
loud) paint work. Simple and fun to drive, a turn-key ready
T-Bucket is great to have sitting in the garage for that nice day
to tear up some pavement.
This cool build is powered by a 350 out of a Corvette with an
automatic transmission. Highlights include B&M shifter,
polished fuel tank, headers, aluminum radiator, electric cooling
fan, Edelbrock carburetor, Weld polished wheels, Speedway front
disc brakes, 165/80/15 in the front and P275/60/15 in the rear,
rollbar. This unique built will turn every head and demand
attention!
