For Sale: 1968 Ford Bronco in Lithia Springs, Georgia

Vehicle Description

This 1968 Ford Bronco has been given the right investments to have a cool/classic look, quality feel, and the right subtle upgrades to make it even more awesome. And yes, it's an ultra-rare U14 half-cab utility truck. So if you love a 4x4 with a true vintage attitude, dig into all the details on this very cool Bronco.

This Bronco has an instant appeal. It's wearing its factory-correct Harbor Blue with the kind of high-gloss distinction that really lets everyone know this one has recently been comprehensively restored (you can even see that beautiful blue glowing in the fresh undercarriage photos.) But what really makes this one look awesome is the well-coordinated white. The white hardtop, grille, and lower section give this a subtle two-tone appearance. And we love the attention to detail like the Harbor Blue is used for the FORD across the grille. And the white stripe profiles the side to showcase the classic look of the uncut rear fenders. Even the brightwork is excellent with mirror-like chrome bumper, polished wheels, and wraparound trim that showcases the straightness of the sheet metal. It all makes for the light and bright kind of style that you'd expect to see pull up next to a seaside Martha's Vineyard mansion.

The blue and white return inside. It's now joined by a tasteful black in high-traffic areas like the carpeting and steering wheel. It not only keeps this impressive restoration from showing dirt, but it also coordinates with details like the houndstooth cloth inserts in the seat and doors. This is all meant to have a very vintage style, but we can really appreciate how they upgraded the gauges to a crisp/clean white-faced cluster with the Bronco script in the middle. And an original kind of style is a true rarity these days. After all, there were fewer U14-code pickups made than the utility wagons (only about 2,200 in 1967.) So just imagine how few have survived and have been given the big investments to look this attractive and vintage today.

The engine bay continues the investment into subtly upgrading the stock style. For example, Ford's engines were done in blue, but the full restoration painted the block and air grabber Harbor Blue to match the engine bay and the rest of the truck. And speaking of the air grabber, have you read the callout? It says this is a 289ci motor, because that's the largest Ford offered in the Bronco for 1968. But this is actually a larger 302 cubic-inch motor, and they even made sure to source a year-correct block. And as you dig a little deeper, you'll also discover added power from a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Weiand aluminum intake, and headers feeding into the dual exhaust. And all the new components, including an upgraded aluminum radiator, make for quite a strong powerhouse. The three-speed manual transmission gives you proper control over this motor, and the whole vehicle has a feeling to really keep you in tune with the road. So as you look underneath, you can see an investment in clean components that give you confidence when driving. And if you dare get this polished Bronco muddy, the two-speed transfer case gives you true 4x4 ability.

So if you want a rare and unique classic that loves to give you true vintage vibes, you can't miss this truck. Call today!!!
