Offered here is a stellar example of a 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster
built using body components and stage III chassis from Bebops
Glassworks. This is a full-fendered unit professionally finished in
Gloss Black with Tan accent pinstripe and beautifully executed
Brown leatherette interior! It also comes with a removable Sid
Chavers BopTop and custom side curtains in tan cloth that all
collapse to fit into the trunk. Bebops Glassworks has been well
recognized in the hot rod industry for producing high quality
fiberglass bodies of various styles. One would be hard-pressed to
criticize how tight fitting the door and components parts are
structured and reinforced. The same can said for the chassis
development. They are built equally strong using only the best
products on the market to meet high expectations!
Features are abundant on this Highboy Roadster to include widened
fiberglass fenders and reinforced running boards to allow for wider
wheels & tires. On the ground are chrome Ridler 5-spoke wheels
measuring 17x7" up front and 20x10" at the rear! The engine side
covers are absent with LimeWorks leather hood tether straps in
place instead. At the front, a chrome V-bar is fitted with LED
parking lights/turn signals incorporated, with oval-shaped LED
taillamps and matching chrome spreader bar at the rear. The chassis
features boxed rails with round tube crossmembers, 4-wheel disc
brakes with dual circuit master cylinder, uni-steer rack & pinion
steering system, 4" dropped I-beam front axle, forged spindles,
hairpin bars; Pete & Jakes leaf spring, shackles, & chrome shocks;
triangulated 4-link rear suspension with adjustable QA1 coil-over
shocks and Ford 9" axle housing a 3.50:1 posi-traction axle ratio!
The Stage III chassis features suspension and steering components
in polished stainless steel for an outstanding presentation!
Power comes provided by a crate engine professionally built by Blue
Print Engines of Kearney, NE in the form of a Ford 306ci V8 fitted
with a machined & balanced rotating assembly, hypereutectic
pistons, OEM connecting rods, cast steel crank, hydraulic roller
cam, Blueprint aluminum heads, Edlebrock PRM Air Gap aluminum
intake, FAST EZEFI fuel-injection system, electronic ignition,
March billet pully serpentine belt system, chrome alternator & a/c
compressor, aluminum radiator, tube headers, and more! It presents
very well and runs wonderfully! The Blueprint Engines are
dyno-tested and covered under one of the best warranties in the in
the crate engine industry! This was factory dyno-tested at 387
horsepower and 367 lb. ft of torque! This all mates to a 5-speed
World Class Tremec T-5 manual transmission for classic three pedal
driving excitement and overdrive gearing for easy highway use!
The original builder had a wonderful eye for detail, and left room
for a cup holder! Components selected in the process are all of
high quality. Instrumentation is provided through AutoMeter classic
white dial gauges, Vintage Air components for the air conditioning,
polished steering column with tilt and classic banjo style wheel,
high back bucker seats with side bolsters, tinted windshield,
carpeted floor mats that snap into place, lap belts for safety,
Pioneer audio system with terrific speaker placement for excellent
sound on the open road, and integrated battery disconnect and
charging system for times of storage. Having just under 3,000 miles
on the odometer, this High Boy Roadster is hardly broken in!
