This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette is a classic that has been given the
right investments to be all-around fun. This includes slick paint,
a strong small block, and four-on-the-floor. So you can start to
dig into the details, but of course, you already didn't need much
convincing to want a well-priced V8-powered icon.
We love a Corvette in Mille Miglia Red. It's a terrific
race-inspired name and a terrifically bold color. And since there
was a nice professional respray later in life, this one still gives
off the right kind of gloss in the sunshine that highlights the
swoopy lines of the C3's body. This super-smooth finish is
especially great to have on a '73 because it debuted the new
sleeker front end. And there's still plenty of classic brightwork
to love with the Rally wheels, rocker trim, and classic chrome rear
bumper. And you can tell there's been proper respect for this
Stingray in the little details, like the included bags to stow the
T-tops when it's time to open this up to the world.
Black interiors always show well against red exteriors, but this
one is particularly nice with a dark and clean style of a good
investment and care. There are even thoughtful subtle upgrades,
like the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner stereo and the upholstery
has been upgraded to cloth (you'll appreciate that on every sunny
day when the T-tops are out and you're in shorts.) And there are
the right driver-oriented features like a three-spoke sports
steering wheel, tilt/telescopic column, and the full gauge package
with large speedo and tach directly in front of you.
Under the hood is a tidy 350 cubic inch V8 with its bold orange
block and chrome ribbed valve covers. It's also nice to see the air
grabber with the correct diaphragm to feed fresh air to the
four-barrel carburetor. You get complete control over the power
with the desirable Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission. And
the fully independent sports suspension, power steering, and
four-wheel power disc brakes make this classic an awesome
all-around driving package.
