For Sale: 1985 Chevrolet K-20 in Plainville, Connecticut

Vehicle Description

1985 Chevy K20 Silverado Longbed

The current owner has had the truck for roughly 5 years. He purchased it locally in CT and is the third owner of the truck. The first owner bought the truck from Lake Chevrolet-Buick-Olds in eastern PA.

This truck rolled off the line with several nice options, AC, power steering, power brakes, power windows and power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, TH400 4 speed auto trans, 2 tone paint, dual fuel tanks and more. The AC is no longer in the truck, but everything else still is and works correctly.

The original owner decided to make her into a mud truck and lifted her, dropped in a fuel cell and mounted that massive front bumper.. but he never hit the pits and sold her on to a guy in CT. The second owner pulled the anemic 1985 350 V8 and dropped in a Jegs 383 stroker, 4 core aluminum radiator with twin electric fans, changed over the springs to a 6" lift, cleaned up the axles and had them painted, set up the rear with disc brakes and added a set of 40" Ground Hawgs tires. It is believed that the first owner is the one that painted her white.
When the current owner bought her, the fuel system was screwed up, the steering was too and he could hardly get up into it.
He installed two new original gas tanks and got rid of the fuel cell, added Holley's Sniper tunable EFI, got rid of the body lift, had the steering fixed, added the steps and put a set of 35" Milestar Patagonia X/T tires on a set of KMC XD 20" "beadlook" rims.
She runs and drives MUCH better now.
The paint is little rough (it was originally a light blue 2 tone to match the velour interior, which is pretty good condition) and the right rocker has some rot and there's a little more rust on the leading edge of each rear wheel well.

Repair panel pieces are very easy to come by and welding them in isn't too much of a hassle. The cab corners are in good conditions and those are usually the difficult ones.

With a little work this could be a really good looker. The odometer shows 60K miles and that may be correct, although true mileage is unknown. It is estimated that the Jegs engine has between 10,000-20,000 miles on it.

The engine runs great , sounds great and puts the power through a TH400 auto out to a GM corporate 14 bolt full floating rear and a Dana 60 front with Warn manually locking hubs. The NP205 transfer case divides the power to both axles when needed.

The truck is ready to go and drives well.

With a little work/TLC she'd be a lot better, however, the owner is moving and doesn't have the time to put into her, so he's selling her on to a new home.

The asking price is $11,500.

Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a time to see her in person or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for the interest.
