For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28 in Riverview, Florida

Vehicle Description

1970 “True Z28” with RS Split bumper.
I purchased this car November 2021. Mulsanne Blue over black stripes. It looks wet and lots of metallic, ceramic coated. I’m second owner. 4500 miles on everything since frame off rotisserie rebuild that occurred approximately 2017-2019 done by County Corvette Westchester PA. A video is included here from them describing the build and amount of time and money that was spent when they were selling it originally. Staggered 19” and 20” Boze  forged polished aluminum wheels. Michelin PS4 tires. C6 ZO6 power adjustable seats. Alcantara headliner, rear deck, visors, and door panels with blue stitching on doors and seats to match blue exterior. Dakota digital gages. 10K in sound system with alarm. The  alarm remotes unlock/lock the doors,  dynamat on whole interior, Alpine touchscreen and back up camera, 2 JL Audio flat 10” subs that leave nice trunk space still, JL Audio amp, 4 Focal speakers and dual K2 tweeters in pillars, Alpine Bluetooth volume knob  control near shifter is easier than using volume control on unit when driving. Sounds amazing! Red optima battery with switch. Ceramic tint on windows. Vintage air a/c, Old Relic power windows, power door locks, power rack and pinion steering , and brakes, Nardi Steering wheel. Every light inside and outside is converted to LED.  It has GM Performance ZZ572 crate motor with 621 HP and 645 lbs torque. Front runner  serpentine belt system. Billet 175 amp  alternator and compressor etc. Billet hood hinges, billet door handles, adjustable billet gas and brake pedals, billet hood latch, and front grill. Exhaust sounds amazing. Lopy cam. Not obnoxious, but just perfect. 3” Lemon long tube headers ceramic coated then goes to 2.5” X pipe and Dynomax turbo mufflers with custom SS  exhaust tips. Original exhaust was all 3” SS with flow through type mufflers etc and was too loud imo. I wanted to hear my phone and sound system. Old straight tips didn’t look great to me either. So upgraded that to the SS angled compact tips under bumper. Very cool custom look. I was going to get  all the new pipes ceramic coated,  but never did and in Florida aluminized pipe lasts long time. It’s also quieter than SS pipe. It has Dewitt’s best aluminum radiator rated for like 900 HP, transmission and power steering coolers, Polished aluminum shroud, Spal brushless dual motors. Even when it’s been 97 in Florida with feels like temperatures of over 115 the a/c and overall cooling with this big bock has been ok. It actually runs cooler sitting still with the brushless fans. It has never over heated and stays well under 220 most of the time. When temp is about 92 or less it usually runs 195 ish. I did add water wetter and removed coolant to aid cooling in severe hot weather so if it sells up north it you may need coolant put  back if temps get under 32. Not an issue in my Tampa garage. 572 big block Engine is mated to heavy duty 4L85 electronic 4 speed. The shift points have been programmed on a laptop by same guy that installed Holley Sniper  fuel injection. It has toggle switch in glove box can make shifts comfortable or more aggressive. 2800 RPM stall converter. Currie 9” Ford rear end with Detroit Trueloc helical gear posi and 3:50  gears. Runs 2600 rpm on highway at 70 mph. Holly Sniper Fuel injection was installed by Florida Rodshop couple years ago. The Holley display is in center arm console. Electronic fuel pump is in the new larger fuel tank. Wilwood slotted and drilled 4 wheel disk brakes and master cylinder with Hydrarech Hydroboost. It stops and handles great. More like a modern sports car. It is firm but not punishing if road is decent and has 600 lb springs in front and 300 lb rear. It has Heidts adjustable coil over suspension and subframe. 4 link rear. This car is a beast. Very fast. It runs and drives perfect and is very reliable. I have meticulously fixed any small issues with a completely open checkbook. This car was painted underneath and concourse quality. It has been driven almost 5000 miles now and is not a trailer queen. If you want a trailer queen strictly show car the frame rails would need touched up from it being on a lift and some of the pinch welds were damaged. Nothing structural and not worth fixing imo but I’m just being 100% transparent and accurate. I would rate paint and bodywork  about 9.0. It has some very hard to see small scratches. They keyed door locks aren’t functional as the alarm  remote unlocks the doors now  and it also has a lock/unlock button in the  stock location near power window switches  in the car as well. There are what looks like slight runs around door locks but I think it’s just the metal was imperfect. The paint is extremely nice overall and painter spent weeks wet sanding the Glasurit clear, it isn’t perfect concourse but close for a driver. It is also been recently ceramic coated. The interior is 9.5 to me. Custom and gorgeous but unlike some expensive  builds I’ve seen it still looks mostly like an actual 70 Camaro inside just much better and tasteful, custom touches galore.  Mechanically it is as close to a 10 as you can get. Oil and filter just changed. It is bone dry under it in the garage. It just runs and drives perfectly. It is set up for performance so there are clunks and creaks  as this type suspension isn’t made to be quiet. It has heim joints etc. The rear end and the Hydraboost brakes both whine. This s normal. Lots of noise is transferred through this type suspension from rear and. Curry assured me  this rear end was tested and quiet as factory 9” on their test car. I am not aware of a single mechanical issue. I would drive it anywhere. When it is started cold you turn key to on and after 2 seconds you can hear the Sniper give shot of fuel. At this point you turn the key and don’t touch gas pedal and it fires immediately. It is cold natured and needs approximately 30 seconds and good to go. This is normal and is because of the huge cam this car has. You cannot make it perfect cold as it would not be right when warmed up. The installer spend lot of time tuning it. Because the hood is fiberglass it doesn’t fit absolutely perfect, but looks damn good and better than most fiberglass hoods.

As the videos from the builder state the car has well over 150K in parts alone and about 2000 hours labor. This was before I added 10’s of thousands more in the fuel injection, LED lightning, 10K sound system, billet items, etc etc.

i have close to 200K in this car now.  You won’t build this car for less than 300K and likely be well over that now.

The car needs nothing and everything works and functions perfectly. The Michelin PS 4 tires have decent tread left. I never drive it in the rain and if that’s the case you could change them for drag radials and get better traction. With street tires you can melt them from standstill. It will break them even rolling over 40 mph! You need to be careful and know how to drive or it can get away from you quick.  It has 275/30/20 on back and about 1 1/2 inches of room if you want a bit wider. Tires do not rub currently at all. This is not a must sell at all. I currently have 5 high end cars and want to downsize some. I am firm on price but cash in person talks to a small degree , but don’t waste my time with low ball offers. It only allows one video of you want clip of sound etc lmk and I’ll get it. Also if you search on YouTube for 1970 Z28 by County Corvette there is at least one more video on the car and the build.
