The nicest low mileage classic Corvette you'd ever want to
drive.
This is a fantastically well preserved 1978 Corvette Indianapolis
pace car. It has an original 16750 km. That's right kilometers.
This is 1 of 250 cars exported to Canada. **** So that's 10,500
original miles **** It's had one owner for the last 17 years. When
he won the car in a raffle it had only 400 km!
She comes with extensive documentation going back to day one. This
includes factory documentation, serice receipts, NCRS Top Flight
and Bloomington Gold survivor class gold award. In addition to
extensive documentation the car also still has its original AM/ FM
8 track stereo. The original tires are included, but new tires are
on the car.
The Canadian market cars were very similar to the US with the
exception of the Canadian market cars could be ordered with cloth
inserts in the seats. The speedometer is also in kilometers.
To make this car even more rare and desirable she is one of the few
equipped with the L82 engine and 4 speed Muncie.
The original exhaust system with its catalytic converter Is
included with the car, but it is currently equipped with a properly
fitted dual exhaust system. She runs great, the transmission shifts
beautifully, the brakes are strong and linear, the steering is
tight and precise and the ride is very good for a C3 Corvette.
You will be hard pressed to find a nicer C3 Pace Car especially one
that you can actually drive. They didn't make that many, very few
came to Canada, and even fewer were equipped with the 4 speed and
L82. If you would like a good looking and practical classic
Corvette that will be different from the others at the shows, is
still a joy to drive and an appreciating classic then this is your
car.
