Vehicle Description
This 1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is a true classic cruiser with a
big V8, spacious interior, and an overall style that knows how to
own the road.
We always describe 1960 Cadillacs as "timelessly cool" because the
stylists made sure these did not cut corners when it came to
opulence. Stacked headlights within the outstretched fenders, a
style line that's pressed into the sheet metal for the full length
of the car, a formal hardtop silhouette, and one of the most artful
uses of chrome in the rear - it's all about giving this the right
imposing look like the boss has arrived. And Cadillac was really
terrific at the details including the fender skirts that just make
that rear look even longer and sleeker. This is finished in an
updated shade of Diamond White, and we have a receipt showing a
professional application in 2015. So today it strikes the right
balance of a pearlescent shine but is never too fancy to drive.
After all, a good Caddy makes a great cruiser, and so the upgrades
go right to the heart of this. The dual exhaust tips give you more
of the V8 tune, and the Borghini 22-inch wheels have a ton of style
while also letting you fit better modern tires.
The clean and plush black interior has a very formal look against
the white exterior. And the white piping on the upholstery gives
you that added touch of class. Even the details are thoughtful,
like in the way the lights in the doors and in the sail panels
greet you when you open the door. There are terrific premium
features like power windows, armrests for both rows, and a power
front seat. This was also a factory air conditioning car, but it
will likely need components and servicing to function again. There
are also the right upgrades for a good cruiser, like an AM/FM/CD
stereo with Bluetooth and an adjustable Kicker subwoofer. So we bet
you can just imagine taking down all the windows on this hardtop
and going for a drive.
Under the hood is Cadillac's correct 472 cubic-inch V8. This is
actually a fresher replacement motor that was installed in 2016.
Topped with a four-barrel carburetor, this DeVille knows how to
smoothly and effortlessly pull away at the stoplights. But where
it's really at home is boulevard cruising, and we even have
receipts from 2016 showing solid suspension investments to keep
this an easy cruiser. Plus, there are features like the three-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and front
discs for a nice driver.
The sale comes complete with an extra set of wheels and tires. This
is a true classic with a true driver-ready style. So if you love
cruising a classic Caddy, you know you need this coupe. Call
