If you've been looking for a Jeep that enhances your off-road
lifestyle, then you're going to want to dig into the details on
this 1998 Jeep Wrangler 4x4. Because while every Jeep is tough,
this one has been given all the right upgrades (including a
fuel-injected Vortec V8) to be able to pull its brothers out of all
sorts of trouble. And while this is a true off-roader, features
like cold-blowing air conditioning remind you of the benefits of a
modern Jeep.
It's obvious from every angle that this is a custom build that
knows how to keep going well after the pavement ends. Up front,
there's a strong steel bumper that carries the LED lighting and
Smittybilt XRC winch. There's also the Poison Spyder louvered hood,
upgraded headlights, and a high-lift jack mounted to the hood.
Along the sides, the fenders are nice and tall to allow plenty of
suspension travel. There's also rock slider body armor, a full roof
rack, and provisions for an LED light bar. In the rear is an XRC
bumper with a swing-away full-size spare and a trailer hitch.
You'll see some of the factory-correct Lapis Blue Metallic still in
places like the full doors, but overall, this Wrangler has been
taken over by the rugged black upgrades. And because the upgrades
are not about adding glamor mussels to a commuter, you will see
some signs of use in the finish...but real use on a Jeep is more
like badges of honor.
The interior has the right mix of useful upgrades and modern Jeep
features. For example, the factory high-back front bucket seats now
have CoverKing ballistic seat covers. Weathertech floor mats are
great for the outdoors, because after all, the doors and roof still
come off. And because this is a more modern Jeep, it can keep you
comfortable with factory air conditioning that's blowing nice and
cold. There are also cup holders, a center console, an upgraded
sports steering wheel, power steering, LED dome lights, air horns,
and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input and subwoofer. And
the full digital gauge package lets you know there's something
quite nice under the hood.
For versatile power, it's hard to beat a Chevy V8. This is a later
5.3-liter fuel-injected Vortec motor. If that wasn't already
desirable enough, this one has been given a rebuild kit, bored .20
over, and an upgraded ECM. It's also supported by the right pieces,
like an Optima battery and an aluminum radiator with electric fan.
The consignor provided a full list of the upgrades, and it includes
a 4L60e four-speed automatic transmission, Alto Red Eagle kit
rebuild kit with 1000-1200 stall converter and a slip yoke
eliminator. There's also a Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear diff with
4.10 ratios for plenty of low-end power. The E-Locker chromoly
axle, four-wheel power disc brakes, Rubicon Express 4.5-inch lift,
and 2-inch body spacer are all part of a confident and capable
off-roader.
This is the tough-looking Wrangler that has the unique upgrades to
be the first one up every hill. So if you want to be the king, call
today!
