Beautifully Restored 1968 Pontiac GTO Hardtop
The next classic for sale in our Fairfield showroom is this
beautiful 1968 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Hardtop with immaculate Starlight
Black exterior paint, a stunning Parchment vinyl interior, and
beautiful trim and chrome all the way around. You'll find a 400
cubic inch V-8 engine under the hood paired with a 3-speed
automatic transmission with a Hurst His-n-Her Shifter. The engine
and transmission have less than a 1,000 miles since they were
rebuilt. This GTO also features power steering, power front disc
brakes, factory A/C, new electric hideaway lights, rear LED
taillights, and more. This outstanding classic is also fresh off a
restoration and we have ample receipts on file to document the
build.
Flawless Body Lines & an Exceptional White Interior
The current owner of this 1968 Pontiac GTO Hardtop acquired it back
in 2005 and he informs us that this classic originally sold in
California. He does not believe that the 400 V-8 engine is factory
original, but he did recently have the entire drivetrain rebuilt
along with refreshed upholstery, new headlights, taillights and
power front disc brakes. This classic muscle car looks phenomenal
in person and drives just like a well tuned example should; the
acceleration and handling are excellent with plenty of power to the
wheels. It should appeal to a wide variety of collectors because
this classic simply begs to be driven.
Additionally, this 1968 Pontiac GTO Hardtop has some serious curb
appeal with glistening body lines and great exterior paint. The
chrome and other trim also show at really high levels without any
obvious visible imperfection. The interior also has all new
Parchment upholstery and it really takes this muscle car to a
different level with the ultra clean dashboard, gauges, steering
wheel and black carpeting. The factory A/C works as well and this
one doesn't need anything to be driven and shown off around town
right away.
Excellent Value at the Current Asking Price
Overall, this 1968 Pontiac GTO Hardtop is easily one of the finest
examples we've come across in recent years and the performance
clearly speaks for itself. This muscle car has to be driven to
fully understand the tremendous value and it will not remain
available for long. For more information about this vehicle, visit
