Vehicle Description
1977 GMC Sierra - 350ci V8 - Automatic Transmission - 98k Miles
Shown - Black Over Blue Interior We all know that four and/or five
decade-old pickups are a hot commodity in the collector vehicle
market. This 1977 GMC Sierra is an excellent example of what makes
these trucks so popular not just in the market but in country music
lyrics for years. This clean short box Sierra 4x4 has been nicely
restored with some tasteful resto-mods. The blue paint has been
well applied over professional quality body prep and the finish has
been polished to a high luster. The factory hood has been replaced
with a cowl induction style steel hood and the grill is from a
newer 1983-84 C10 Chevrolet pickup. The 1977 single round
headlights have been replaced with stacked quad rectangle
headlights from the '80s era C10 trucks to further compliment this
square body. The front and rear chrome bumpers are new chrome
units, and the polished look of this truck is further accented with
factory stainless wheel opening trim and newer side mounted
rearview mirrors. Other then the front emblem, all other emblems
have been removed and the holes filled to gives this truck a clean
and smooth look. The factory 15 steel wheels are accented with
chrome trim rings and the wheels are wrapped with oversized radial
tires which helps preserve the factory-look but giving this GMC a
nice muscular stance. The black interior remains stock and has been
fully restored with body colored painted inside, new carpet and
seat upholstery, door panels and the dash pad has been replaced
with a nice original pad from a Silverado. Interior options include
tilt steering, dual fuel tank, factory gauges and Delco AM/FM
stereo. The odometer reads 98,000 miles. The underbody of the truck
has been lightly detailed, and the floors are clean and free of
rust. The suspension has been well maintained with new shocks and
steering components. The steering is power assisted as are the
brakes which feature front and disc and rear drums and have been
recently serviced including a new master cylinder. The dual exhaust
breathes through a fresh set of headers into dual pipes, chambered
mufflers into full tailpipes that exit behind the wheels. The
exhaust has an excellent rumble at idle and exhaust note under
power. Under the hood the engine compartment is well detailed, and
the 350 small block Chevrolet presents well with chrome air
cleaner, and valve covers. A dual inlet 4-barrel carburetor with
electric choke sits atop an aluminum single plane Edelbrock intake.
The fuel mixture is ignited through a HP Proform GM HEI distributor
and 8mm HP spark plug wires. The cooling system has been well
maintained with new belts, hoses, and radiator. The truck was
equipped from the factory with A/C but it is currently inoperative
with the compressor and required hosing removed. This truck looks
and sounds great and cruises nicely. The bed has been
professionally coated so a trip to the hardware or the building
supply is not out of the question, and frankly could be done in
stye with this truck! Of course, a little run out to the back forty
for a bonfire with your friends and a cold beverage on the tailgate
is not out of the question either. Please call or email us with any
questions.
