This 1965 Chevy Suburban 4x4 is a very cool and very rare vehicle
to find. This truck was owned by the same person its whole life. he
bought it new in Florida in 1965, but it spent most of its life in
Utah and Montana. The truck was always well maintained and we
received a lot of maintenance receipts along with the original
sales sheet and other interesting documentation. The Suburban was
kept all original until he did a selective type restoration a
couple of years ago that included paint and upholstery.
The body on this Burb is great and it is a solid Suburban which are
very hard to find. It was repainted in the original Dark Green GM
color with the white roof. They did an excellent job on the pain
and it looks fantastic. The underside is very clean and it did have
some metal replaced in the floors and rockers. It was replaced with
metal and and was very minor. The doors all open and close really
nice on this truck and all of the glass is in great condition.
The interior is really basic as you would expect, but in great
condition. It was also all repainted in the original colors and it
has new seat upholstery and a new rubber floor mat in the front.
The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. All of the gauges work. The heat, horn, and wipers are all
working. It is just a really basic and clean interior.
Mechanically this Burb runs and drives awesome. The engine is a 327
based on what the last owner told us and it was rebuilt at some
point based on what we were told. It definitely runs strong with no
issues and appears to have been but we did not receive receipts for
it. It starts easy and runs strong with no issues or red flags. It
has an Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb, Ram Horn Manifolds, dual exhaust,
and an aluminum radiator. The transmission is the SM420 Muncie 4
Speed manual that shifts nice with a strong clutch. It is mated to
the GM Rockwell T221 Transfer case. The 4WD works like it should.
It has a 12 Bolt Rear Axle with 3.73 Gears and the Front Axle is a
update dana 44 with 3.73 gears and it has Power Disc Brakes. They
also added power Steering to this vehicle which makes it much nicer
to drive. It is sitting on a nice set of Rallye Rims with 31 Inch
All terrain Tires. Awesome Rig!!!
