Vehicle Description
Here's a highly original 1969 Ford Torino GT SportsRoof now
available from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. The car was
treated to a cosmetic restoration approximately 20 years ago and
its appearance has been carefully maintained since. One of Ford's
best engines, the 351 V8, powers the car along with a smooth and
reliable 3-speed automatic transmission. Factory options such as
air conditioning and power steering render this Torino comfortable
and easy to drive. It sports its original New Lime body color and a
black vinyl interior. The GT package also brings styled steel
wheels with the GT center caps, unique striping, hood scoop, and GT
identification. Ford called their fastback body design the
"SportsRoof." It not only had a sporty appeal, its aerodynamics
helped the likes of David Pearson and even Richard Petty in '69
achieve great success in NASCAR racing. This example was built in
July at the Atlanta assembly plant, so it began its life in a
NASCAR hotbed town in the middle of summer. White letter radial
tires complete the race-inspired look. The original owner's manual
is included. Be sure to see the detailed photos at
