Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette
Convertible for purchase. The Corvette launched its 2nd generation
with the birth of the Stingray with a complete redesign barely
resembling its predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had
independent suspension, and was aerodynamically tested. The only
American cars that could produce similar speed were large, heavy
Super Stock optioned Mopars and Super Duty Pontiacs. For the first
time, the United States had mass produced a true all-around sports
car.
The 1963 Corvette Convertible here sports an older selective
restoration finished in Riverside Red exterior paint over black
interior. It is powered by its 327 / 300 hp V8 engine, 2 speed
PowerGlide automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. Highlights
include: Bucket seats, 160 mile per hour speedometer, 7000 RPM
tach, AM/FM radio, chrome Cragar wheels, aluminum valve covers,
aluminum intake, and the original spinner hubcaps are with the
car.
The 2nd generation Corvette is still the most desirable body style,
and the 1963 being the first year of the generation is of the most
desirable. The car here runs and drives very well; ready to show
and go.
