Presenting here; a really gorgeous example of a Rolls-Royce
Corniche convertible. Finished in Magnolia (cream/beige) with rich
burgundy fine lines to the waist-rails that match the very royal
presenting burgundy leather interior with black seat piping. The
carpets are matching burgundy with mouton overlays. The same
burgundy-red theme carries through to the boot. (*The pictures
taken in sunlight make the car appear white. Please review those
additional photos taken in the shade and you will see the true
Magnolia colour against a white wall) This is a well-maintained
example by a long-standing client of ours. It presents in excellent
condition. In 2019 the car was sent to us to "attend to whatever is
necessary" and so some $25,000 was invested to bring all major and
minor services up to date, ensure all operational features were
working as should (AC, electrics etc) and any cosmetic issues, even
though minor, were attended to. The car now presents in top
mechanical and operational condition. Important costly items such
as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as
required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system
pressure tested and bled. Brakes pumps tested, new accumulators and
suspension spheres fitted, calipers and pads serviced. It is ready
to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 36,000 miles and
although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with
the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the
interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). It is very quiet and smooth
on the road without any of the typical "thumps" and "rattles"
typical of lesser maintained examples of this model. The interior
was freshened up as part of its review in 2019. The leather is
original but was reconnolised for consistency in colour and
presentation (dark leathers like red, burgundy, black, brown and
blues, tend to "naturally fade"). It now presents quite beautifully
and certainly very rich in appearance. The burr walnut wood on the
dash was refinished by Park-Ward Motors and presents flawlessly and
truly "as-new". The doors and rear quarters appear to have been
refinished at some point prior - not us - and present to factory
finish. It was done correctly and to Rolls-Royce standards. We
guess some 10 years ago and besides some minor "seat-belt marks" on
the door cappings. Again, the dash is perfect. The burl walnut in
this example has a deep red hue and is truly magnificent. The
convertible top and head lining is in good condition with only
slight fade in the rear window. The original Wilton wool carpets
with leather binding are also in good condition. Likewise is the
dash and top-roll. The car had a new set of Hankook 235/75
white-wall tyres fitted in 2018 and the stainless hubcaps are
excellent with minimal to no imperfections. All remaining
bright-work is in good condition. Under the bonnet, the
presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but
simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet
heat pads are the originals in good condition. As you would expect,
this Corniche comes with its original jack, correct tools and
operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy
10 out of 10 driver rating.
