1st model year for US 944, Guards Red, Original Survivor, AACA Winner, Owner organized Service & Documentation Binder, 32k Miles, 2019 Clean car fax, Factory info Window Sticker, 944 Factory Literature
Owner is a true auto enthusiast who has a “Bucket List” of a few unique autos he would like to experience for a couple summers. A few years ago the search was on for the finest example he could find of an original surviving 944 with low mileage and not abused. As we all know they are only ORIGINAL ONCE. Driven enough to keep parts lubricated but not raced or beat on. Preferred there only be a few private owners that provided expert care and documentation. Not an easy find!
Copy of window sticker in pictures. See pictures of most meaningful documents from service binder. Oil changes, and cam belt, etc in records. Again, not restored but the owner and I can’t find anything not working correctly. Being critical, hood struts could use replacement.

Paint
Owner believes the entire car is completely or mostly to be the original factory applied finish (see notes in magnet paint gauge section below)
All metal panels appear to be very smooth and very shiny, color matches all around the car
We don’t see any paint imperfections or workmanship issues that would be proof of obvious refinishing
Finish quality is very consistent all around the car and is typical of Porsche quality
Light finish scratches (typical of washing and dusting the surface) do exist slightly on top surfaces that would be improved with professional paint detail. Only can be seen in fluorescent lighting at certain angles
Nose and front edge of hood has approx. a dozen nicks mostly between headlight area that have been mostly brush touched up. Top of RF bumper, top edge of right fender, and poss couple other spots were brush touched but the color match could be improved upon.
Body
All Red painted steel body panels appear factory correct straight and inspecting at different angles and under fluorescent lighting, we were not able to find any incorrect areas
Fits of hood, hatch, doors, fenders, and headlamps all seem correct
No dents or creases could be found anywhere
Being extremely critical, the right rear corner of the hood could maybe be adjusted down just slightly (see pics)
Black trim and window surrounds
All black exterior trim parts appear to be fastened properly without anything looking out of position
Window surround trim, door handles, wiper arms, antenna mount and mirrors have a good shine
Front bumper and rear spoiler are constructed of a more pliable material and do not seem hardened from exposure
Glass
All 4 side windows and the rear window all have the SEKURIT marking. The windshield has the SUDGLAS KRISTALL marking
All glass seems clear without discoloring, delamination, cracks, or bulls eyes,
Rear glass has several lines of scratching (see pics)
Windshield has a small pin head sized nick below the mirror and another mark on pass side. (see pics)
Interior
Interior appears to be all original without obvious noticed changes (poss mats and radio later additions)
Note- The garage has very intense lighting that caused the interior pictures to have a light blue tint to the black interior.
The black interior has rich deep color overall with some fade on top of rear seat back and rear hatch carpet (see pics)
Headliner secured with good color, seat vinyl and cloth shows minimum wear and vinyl is still very supple
Sun visors have good exterior material but inside structure seems to have broken down somewhat
Dash shows little exposure and note only a couple little cracks (owner indicated more severe cracking often seen)
Dash knobs, switches, gauges all show little wear and exposure
Door and interior side panels have good color and not damaged (see pics)
Carpet shows little wear and has good rich color
Hatch area
Includes self retracting shade, spare tire, 2 storage compartments, carpeted mat
Trunk key works outside lock properly
carpet shows slight fade between wheel wells mostly and top of seat back as well
Hatch supports hold up hatch well
Battery cover is located in trunk. Will not fit over the battery tender wires as they are positioned presently
Tires and Wheels
Kumho ECSTAY LX Tires (all 4)
Tires show little exposure to outside and we see no cracking in outside edge
Wheels show little wear with aluminum finish and black finish all having nice shine
All 4 tires are 215-60-15 and dated February 2018
10-11/32nds tread on all 4 tires
Barely visible flaws in silver finish (1/2” star), black paint, and lug nuts do exist but very minute (see pics)

Test drive with owner
Chad rode with the owner about 5 miles from home on a nice windy road and then Chad drove back
Chad had previously watched the car being started cold and then again warm and saw no trace of oil smoke.
Steering was very smooth and responsive and amazingly, took very little muscle for manual steering. Car did not pull and stayed straight
Engine started quickly both cold earlier and warm now, runs very smoothly when warm and accelerates and decelerates smoothly in all gears
Clutch operation was smooth and easy and very user friendly for first time drivers. No chatter or grabbing felt.
Transmission shifted smoothly into and out of all 5 forward speeds and reverse. Shifter required very little effort and flowed smoothly from one gear to another.
Suspension was smooth, precise and made no unusual noises
Brakes stopped us quickly when asked to, smooth with no pulling and being extremely critical I think I could feel a slight pulsation 1 time but not sure. (could have been road surface)
