Vehicle Description
There's a lot to love in a truck with upgraded V8 power, a touch of
vintage flair, and an overall useful attitude. That's what's so
attractive about this 1974 Ford F-100 Ranger.
The red paint is a later application. It's clean and complete which
lets the attractive color show off the lines of the sheet metal.
But it also has enough age and use that you won't be afraid of
utilizing this for a true pickup. So it makes the ideal balance for
a versatile classic truck. And with liner paint in the bed and a
thick rubber mat, you know this one will help with the chores. But
the chrome bumpers, desirable Ranger-level full-length trim, dual
exhaust tips, and upgraded 15-inch Eagle Alloy wheels, you can tell
this one is a cruiser, too.
Just like the exterior, the interior is attractive for being both
clean and useful. The newer vinyl bench seat cover, good door
panels, and full rubber floor coating are all done in an attractive
black, and they have the kind of hardy nature that won't mind you
hopping in even when wearing dusty jeans. It even has some nice
features like the working dome light and provisions for factory air
conditioning (it likely needs a recharge.). Plus, the grippy sports
steering wheel and under-dash auxiliary gauge trio are the right
features you want in a driver's classic.
Under the hood is Ford's hardy 302 cubic inch V8. Since these love
upgrades, this one has been enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor and Edelbrock intake. The V8 also exhales deeper with
headers that add power and rumble to the dual exhaust and
Flowmaster mufflers. And because they want this to be a real
driver, you have features like a three-speed automatic
transmission, wide modern tires, power steering, and front disc
brakes.
We like this F-100 because it's a great old-school upgraded classic
truck. And the clean style and affordable price mean you can even
have the budget to make it into an even more personalized pickup.
