For Sale: 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in Atlanta, Georgia

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser, finished in dark gray metallic over gray pinstriped upholstery. This Cruiser comes from our own fleet of vehicles, and has served as a reliable daily driver for nearly two years. This all original example is ready to be driven and enjoyed as is, or could be the perfect blank slate to build whatever sort of Land Cruiser you desire.

Land Cruisers of this era come equipped with the resolute 3FE inline six. These stout motors encapsulate the familiar adage "overbuilt and under powered" that so accurately describes Toyota trucks from the 80s and 90s. They may not get you there fast, but they will always get you there! Recent engine service has included installation of a rebuilt cylinder head, replacement of all engine hoses, a remanufactured starter, new alternator, replacement of rear main seal, oil pan gasket, and timing cover gasket. A valve adjustment has been performed in the past 500 miles. The air conditioning has been converted to R-134 and works well, though it requires a recharge about once a season. The front axle has been rebuilt with new seals and bearings, and the front brakes were serviced with new pads and rotors recently.

This FJ62 is rock solid underneath, with no rust present anywhere that we can discern. Rockers, frame, wheel wells, floors, doors, etc. are all in good shape. The paint being original does show some wear, but the clear coat is intact. The dash is free of cracks and all gauges work as they should. An aftermarket single-din radio has been installed. Other amenities include aftermarket cup holders, rear heat, and cruise control, though it is currently inoperable.
