MANUAL, JACK & SPAREFRESHLY DETAILED, READY TO ENJOY! On October 6,
1966, a revolutionary new Cadillac model hit dealer showrooms,
marking the culmination of various experimental design studies
beginning with the GM XP-727 in 1962. Featuring all-new
razor-edged, formal coupe styling with a sporting long hood, short
deck profile, the breathtaking 1967 Eldorado remains a design
benchmark today. Equipped with an innovative front-drive powertrain
package, the new Eldorado delivered excellent handling and
roadholding. Cadillacs 429 cubic-inch V-8 engine delivered 340 bhp
and 480 pounds-feet of torque, enough to propel the 4,590 lb.
Eldorado from 0 to 60 in 10 seconds with top speed an illegal, but
exhilarating 130 mph. Front-wheel drive, variable-ratio power
steering, and automatic rear level control provided exceptional
roadholding.Predictably, the 1967 Eldorado immediately attracted a
great deal of high-profile media attention. Accolades included the
coveted Design and Excellence Award from Automobile Quarterly, plus
heady praise from Car Life, which compared the Eldorado to the sort
of visually distinctive, tastefully luxurious, enormously
expensive, individualistic conveyance which characterized the
Classic Era of Automobile design. Fit and finish were outstanding,
interiors plush, and performance strong. With its innovative
front-drive powertrain and crisp styling that continues to
influence todays Cadillac models, the original front-drive Eldorado
continues to make a dramatic statement unlike any other car. An
instant hit, the new front-drive Eldorado enjoyed high demand with
eager buyers tolerating long wait times and snapping up 17,930
examples in 1967.Clearly very well-maintained and featuring a
high-quality refinish in Black over a matching and extremely
inviting interior, this 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado is simply
excellent offering from the landmark launch year for the new
front-drive Eldorado. The factory 429 CI V-8 engine sends 340
factory-rated horsepower to the road via a 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic
automatic transmission and Cadillacs innovative front-wheel drive
system. As expected, factory options and amenities are numerous,
including air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, and tilt-telescopic
steering, plus power features addressing the brakes (disc-type
front), front seat, steering, and windows. Other highlights include
hide-away headlights. Freshly detailed, this outstanding 1967
Eldorado represents Cadillacs first front-drive model and one of
the first such cars produced in America since the short-lived Cord
810/812 of the mid-1930s. Offered in outstanding condition
throughout, this 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado is a wonderful
find and certainly a must-have for any collector or enthusiast of
great automobiles.
