Classic Car Addict is proud to represent this 1940 All Steel Ford
Deluxe with a strong 400ci small block and TH350 3-speed automatic.
The coupes are one of the most sought-after classics. With an
upgraded V8, a nicely finished interior, and plenty of charisma.
You're looking at an opportunity to own this custom '40 you've
always wanted. The 1940 Ford Deluxe coupe is incredibly popular
thanks to its combination of timeless good looks and practical
comfort. There's no need for radical modifications to the body,
because it already has all the best features you could want on a
custom car with only a few smooth finishes. The wave-like profile
of the Henry Ford sheetmetal is complemented by the V-shaped
3-piece grille with color matching outers, the stainless side trim,
curved chrome bumpers, the inlaid chevron-shaped taillights,
smoothed door handles, frenced antenna in the front fender and
ventless grayed 39 side door glass. But besides just investing in
the discreet custom designs. The factory fundamentals this one has
makes it just right. The All Ford panels and original Ford wheel
covers, is a bold standout with the Torch Red paint. Open the
flushed doors with a exterior power window button, and it's hard to
believe this is a machine from the 1940s. The Red and white
two-tone has the unmistakable look of a custom presentation on the
plush door panels, carpeting, and headliner. The non vented 39
style power windows roll with ease. Even the large trunk carries
matching carpeting. Today we appreciate its size because it creates
a great exterior style, but back in the day, this added space was
loved by everyone from the traveling salesman to moonshiners. We
particularly like the look of the split bench seat. And from behind
the wheel there are more great signs of investment. An awesome 50
Styleline steering wheel mounted to a tilt steering column in front
of a full set of Autometer gauges. This is a clear indication of an
upgrade under the hood, too. We love it when these cars are
upgraded to larger V8s. The 400 cubic-inch V8 is show-ready with
its shiny valve covers, matching air cleaner, braided steel lines,
and a block painted to match the exterior red. And beyond this cool
appearance is some nice substance. This V8 has been upgraded with
an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock 1407 four-barrel
carburetor, MSD ignition, and shorty headers. More than a great
power package there's also upgrades to feel good on the road. This
includes the three-speed automatic transmission, 57 rear-end and
front disc brakes. The final touch is Falcon 195/65/R14 in the
front and 225/70/R15 in the rear. Complete with owner's manual,
it's hard not to love a classic that's this clean, Call Classic Car
