The 500 SL with classic Mercedes SL Roadster lines is not only good
looking, it can be used effortlessly and is, in our estimation, a
lot of convertible fun for the money. The R107 SL is iconic to
sport convertibles as well as an iconic Mercedes in its own right.
This 500 SL differs from the US models with a slimmer and sleeker
front/rear bumpers. The desirable European headlights which smooth
out the body lines of the car distinguishing it from US-Spec 560
SLs. Additional equipment includes fog lights, power antenna, and
rear decklid spoiler only fitted to the European 500 SL's.
This 500 SL was imported by a collector and federalized in the late
90s. Since, it has always been cared for and kept in excellent
cosmetic and mechanical condition. It has been used sparingly and
for seasonal use and never in inclement weather. Therefore, it has
none of the rust that was common to so many of these SL's when
driven daily.
Well cared for since new, this 500 SL is offered with books,
records, factory, original tool kit, medical kit, as well as its
