Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Classic Jeep Wrangler TJ ready for fun daily use! Super
clean! LJ long wheelbase designation! Peppy 4.0L six-cylinder and
automatic transmission!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Jeep is in overall good condition,
with the exterior being very straight save for very minor, normal
imperfections for a vehicle of this age. As can be seen in the
photos, this is a very clean vehicle!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint is in great original condition,
but it is important to remember that this is nearly a 20-year-old
vehicle with over 150,000 miles on it. That being said, aside from
the usual rock chips and touch ups, the original paint shows
nicely! Wear and tear is typical of a Jeep this age, but this one
does not appear to have lived a life of heavy abuse. On the
contrary, it seems to have lived a somewhat pampered,
pavement-bound lifestyle! The paint has a nice shine to it, and
this vehicle presents extremely well. The driver's door and
tailgate do appear to have been repainted in the past.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior appears to be all
original, save for the neoprene Rough Country seat covers installed
over the original seats. The locking center console and armrest is
a nice feature, and the plastics are in surprisingly good
condition! The gauges, stereo, A/C and heat all work properly. New
carpet was installed recently, and it really helps this Wrangler
feel newer than it is!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is the mighty Jeep 4.0L inline
six cylinder. This engine has that distinctive Jeep sound, and has
achieved legendary status over the years for providing adequate
power and extreme reliability. Based on the AMC 258 (4.2L) inline
six, this is a power plant with provenance. This Jeep fires right
up, and sounds smooth through the OEM-style muffler. It drives
straight, steers tightly, and delivers a surprisingly pleasant
ride.
The lack of a lift and well-fitted tires make this Jeep a pleasure
to drive, which is pretty hard to come by in a CJ, Wrangler, or any
other old Jeep. This is the perfect option for fair-weather daily
driving!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The lack of modifications and nice
original condition! Plus it's the long wheelbase model!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're looking for a
modified trail-ready off road rig, this isn't it. Additionally,
this Jeep was involved in a minor collision in 2012.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Everything works! Turn-key ready!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This Jeep is for the buyer
looking for a road-ready Jeep they can drive and enjoy the same day
they buy it. If you're looking for a Jeep that drives well enough
that you can easily drive it daily in nice weather, while upgrading
it and improving it on the weekends, this may be it!
