Vehicle Description
1992 Jaguar XJS V12 - 5.3L V12 - Automatic Transmission - Union
Jack Custom Wrap - Tan Interior - New Top - California Car If you
like large European open-top sports cars with a big, powerful
engine, then there is a limited choice of models you can purchase.
There are several mass-production saloons with roof conversions,
ranging from the Saab 900 and Mercedes SL to several Rollers and
Bentleys. The Saabs and Mercedes can cost under $25,000, whereas
Rolls Royce and Bentley convertibles are often ten times these
values. However, one British manufacturer that has always had a
favorable reputation for making a big-engine sports car is Jaguar.
The iconic E-Type roadster set the bar, but it's now unaffordable
for most folk's budget, and it would appear the XJS convertible
appears to be slowly heading the same way. This Jaguar featured
here is a great value, and if you like British sports cars then it
is hard not to get excited about this one wrapped in the Union
Jack! It is unclear of the condition of the paint beneath the wrap
but the wrap is well applied and presents well. The body panels are
free any damage and rust as this car came from California. The
chrome bumpers and trim all shine with a nice luster. The
convertible top is new and professionally installed. Sitting inside
this XJS is nothing short of luxurious. The tan leather upholstery
presents well and shows some minimal wear and the seats are as
comfortable as armchairs, complete with electronic switch controls
for adjustment. An airbag steering wheel frames instrumentation
including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer. The six-digit
odometer shows just under 72k miles. Amenities includes
power-adjustable seats with lumbar support and driver's position
memory, electric windows and locks, air conditioning, cruise
control, trip computer and factory AM/FM cassette stereo. The
interior is trimmed in tan leather with tan carpet and features
burl wood accents on the dash, doors, and center console. The 5.3L
V12 looks tidy under the long bonnet and retains all of its stock
equipment. This XJS convertible is one of the last of the 5.3-litre
V12 engine models. Power from the V12 is paired with a three-speed
automatic GM 400THM transmission, and a limited-slip differential.
The underbody is lightly undercoated and free of any rust or
accident damage. This car originated in California and has never
seen a winter in the rust belt. While unrestored it presents as
well maintained with new shock absorbers and a recent brake
service. Jaguar chrome alloy wheels are wrapped in black wall
radial tires. This car would be a lot of fun to cruise in with drop
top and V12 engine but would also be a big hit at car shows for
sure with the Union Jack decoration. There could be some potential
income opportunity to rent this car out for photo shoots or party
rentals on car rental platforms such as Turo or Hagerty's Drive
Share. No doubt fans of the Austin Powers Movies would be paying
attention! Call if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank
