Vehicle Description
This 1965 Shelby Cobra Factory Five is a growling V8 fun
competition-style machine. But it's also a quality build with a
fresh and sleek style. So when you want both show and go, you need
a stunner like this.
Just one glance at this Cobra and you'll understand why this whole
package is irresistible. The blue has plenty of gloss and metallic
shine that shows off the curvy bodywork. It's a three-owner car
completed in 2013 and less than 6,400 miles are on the odometer. So
you know it spent more time tucked away under its car cover than
out on the racetrack. That's why the paint looks so good. It's a
detail-oriented setup where the iconic racing stripes run the full
length over the body, and they were painted on before the clearcoat
to make sure everything is extra-smooth. Keen eyes will even spot
quite useful extras, the thick rear fender chip protectors and
strong gas proper pistons to keep the hood up when you're showing
off the motor. A true Cobra knows how to earn its racing stripes,
and this one does it right with competition-ready pieces that also
add to the shining total package. This includes the roll bar,
bumper jacks, side pipes, and those wide Halibrand-style
wheels.
There's been little seat time on those vintage-style racing seats,
and so they retain a terrific look. And the Simpson racing
harnesses remind you that this dark interior is built for fun. You
have some great classic Cobra pieces, like the wood-rimmed AC
sports steering wheel and the shifter curved at the correct angle.
And while the AutoMeter gauges are an update, they still feature
the correct reversed speedometer. So the atmosphere is both fresh
and vintage.
The engine bay has a tidy appearance that goes with the rest of
this car. And it has the true Cobra look with the long air grabber
and matching valve covers. Plus, this was built to be a properly
powerful machine. It starts with Ford's hardy 302 cubic-inch V8.
It's upgraded with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Cobra intake,
MSD distributor, and of course those awesome side pipes. One of the
big advantages of a Factory Five car is its strong tubular steel
chassis. And this also has a tubular A-arm front end with
adjustable coilovers and a Hotchkis four-link rear. The five-speed
manual transmission gives you full control of all the power. And
the wide BF Goodrich T/As and front disc brakes give you a firm
feel for the blacktop.
This is an awesome Factory Five Cobra that's sleek, mean, detailed,
and absolutely awesome. Call today!!!
