Vehicle Description
This 1998 Ford F-150 NASCAR Edition is a rare and unique factory
pickup that has its track style taken up a notch. And more than
just a fun racer style, the heart of this is a versatile V8-power
F-150 with an every-day kind of appeal.
Ford fans and NASCAR fans will want to take note of this one. The
1998 special edition is particularly nice to have. This was to help
celebrate the 50th anniversary of NASCAR, and while there have been
some dealer-level NASCAR packages, the 1998 special editions were
factory trucks. It's believed that there were only 3k produced. It
makes for a distinguished truck, but we're glad to see the overall
finish keeps the look of a that can easily remain useful. There is
no VIN authentication for a 1998 NASCAR Edition. But this has the
right special features, like the Roush front air dam, blackout
alloys, one-inch lowered stance, and the cool NASCAR graphics
running along the top of the truck bed. And we especially love how
Ford gave this a side exhaust with Roush tips right from the
factory. This truck takes all those cool features and adds a new
level of trace-ready style. After all, Ford didn't offer the full
decal package with sponsors and racing numbers. The hood pins are a
fun addition, and the tonneau cover not only helps your secure
cargo, but it also makes this truck more aerodynamic. Plus, the
extra shine from the clear headlights makes this even more like a
Stock Car.
The interior has some cool special details, like the NASCAR logo on
the floor mats and in the headrests. But what you'll also
appreciate is such a complete and comfortable package. This will be
crossing the quarter-century threshold soon, and that makes it
eligible for vintage car/truck benefits in many states. But this
still feels modern with the high-back side seats, a jump seat that
folds into a cup holder console, dual airbags, a factory
AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions for factory air conditioning
(it will need servicing to blow cold again.). And the tilt column,
steering wheel with cruise control buttons, and the full gauge
package make the driver's seat a command position.
Under the hood is Ford's 4.6-liter modular V8. The odometer is
believed to reflect the full actual mileage. But now we know today
that a well-maintained modular motor feels perpetual. This one
fires up eagerly like a well-respected powerhouse, and the special
side exhaust makes a sweet rumble. So it makes for an ideal
all-around driver for both in-town and highway use. The same goes
for the four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Plus,
features like power steering and power brakes with front discs keep
this one every day useful.
The sale comes complete with the maintenance records and the
owner's manual packet. This is a cool limited-edition truck that
also remains affordable and capable. That's why it's irresistible.
