Vehicle Description
STK 3255 1965 Plymouth Satellite
This Satellite is a nice example of one of Plymouth's most popular
full-sized offerings for 1965. Many folks consider this model to be
MOPAR's best looking hardtop of this era. In addition to good
looks, the Unibody chassis could handle all of MOPAR's potent
powerplants - can you say 'Pre-Roadrunner'? Satellites and
Belvederes are highly sought after by MOPAR collectors. This '65
Satellite was fully restored in 2015. It received a new coat of
Chrysler 'Viper Red' that is in very good condition. All of the
exterior chrome/stainless is in very good condition. The
reupholstered vinyl interior is stunning. There is also new
carpeting, a center console w/shifter and classic MOPAR dash with
factory AM sound system. Comfort features include cold A/C and
tinted windows. According to the owner, the A-series 318ci
'Poly-Head' motor is matching-numbers and was rebuilt in 2015.
These engines were the V-8 standard for many Chrysler products
throughout the early/mid-60s. Fitted with the 2V carb, the durable
318 'Poly-Head' outputs 230hp and this one sounds strong. It is
backed by a Chrysler 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission,
and the chassis is equipped with power steering, manual disc/drum
brakes, front torsion bar suspension and rear leaf spring
suspension. Steel road wheels with trim rings/caps mount BFGoodrich
Radial T/A tires. Study the photos of this bona fide classic. This
restored Plymouth Satellite is correct and impressive. ALL VEHICLES
