This triple black, 1979 Volkswagen Beetle convertible "Epilogue
Edition" is 1 of 900 produced and underwent a no-expense-spared
professional restoration using new old stock parts only. It is
powered by a 1585cc 4-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual
transmission. During the restoration the body was completely
chemically stripped to bare metal and then four coats of original
factory Volkswagen German Glasuarit single-stage enamel were
sprayed. Additionally, a new convertible top padding, headliner,
German rubber, glass, bumpers and turn indicators were installed.
The transmission was inspected serviced and cleaned and new CV
boots were installed as well as the fuel injection system was
totally overhauled with all internal engine components replaced
with factory original. The interior features new seats, door
panels, hardware and carpet as well as the original German
Blaupunkt AM/FM eight-track player with a Reconed original speaker
and all original dash gauges. It rides on the original date-stamped
Sport rims that were sandblasted, reconditioned and refinished.
