1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Convertible Yellow Running Same owner
since 1986 Convertible black vinyl-top yellow two-seater Volkswagen
Karmann Ghia for sale in San Diego. 1974 Was the last year
Volkswagen made the convertible so this is the youngest convertible
you can get. Wife is making me get rid of it after sitting in the
garage for 16 years - engine is running. I am the longest owner
(owned since 1986), restored the body and paint in 1998 and
replaced the engine twice but don't have current mileage. The vinyl
top is in excellent condition (replaced in 1990). Top inside liner
has been cut a cut times due to theft attempts and was never
replaced.. The body is in pretty good condition: only a few small
dings, some chrome runners have fallen off but I still have most of
them. The Ghia logo is broken but I have the part that broke off.
The interior is in pretty good condition. All the glass is in
excellent condition. A used car that runs, drives, rolls, and
stops! Idles fine! SMOG EXEMPT 1600cc Dual Port single Carb engine,
with a 34 PICT3, and a DVDA Distributor. Carb was just replaced
with an amazon special (Read: runs and drives and idles now, but
could be better with OG!) but the original has been kept for a
proper rebuild by tim at Volksbits. Stock VW muffler installed now,
with EGR filter installed for SMOG. 4 speed trans works fine.
