The water cooled segment is alive and well for Porsche, many were
disturbed that the air cooled version was set out to pasture, but
Porsche was able to get more power and better reliability out of
the new engine setup. This meant for the long term better things
for all.
Pleased to offer this fantastic coupe from Porsche also known as
the 996. This game changing vehicle set the Porsche world on fire
when introduced in 1999, the drastic change from the air cooled
engine that Porsche had developed and mastered, had now become a
faster and more efficient water cooled engine. This change allowed
Porsche to get more out of its proven 6 cyl engines. Many of the
Porsche enthusiasts have come full circle and realized how much
nicer these vehicles drove, handled and performed.
This rare spec. 2002 Porsche 911 Carerra is finished in a beautiful
Midnight Blue Metallic which contrasts the rare Natural Brown
Leather interior nicely. The car has a low, sporty look and sits on
upgraded 18-inch sport rims. The car starts right up, runs well,
shifts smoothly and pulls hard. We also have service records
including the IMS bearing from the previous owner. This is the
Porsche that will do it all. You car cruise around town and pick up
your hot date on a Friday, and have the 911 to the racetrack on
Saturday morning, all in the same tank of gas.
