Vehicle Description
Loaded with features, proper V8 power under the hood, and a cool
survivor-like quality all come together on this 1978 Buick Electra
Limited. It makes for a distinctive and detail-oriented classic
offered for quite a nice price.
This coupe is part of a bygone era of long and stylish American
two-doors. The white paint shows the right signs of being the
factory application. It's nicely contrasted with a well-done
half-vinyl roof, full-length rub strips, and a pinstripe that are
all done in black. It gives this top-tier Limited an upper-class
style. Those looking for perfection might use the value price to
budget for a professional detail or a respray, but that's not where
the heart of the appeal is. As you look through this one inside and
out, there's a preserved spirit here that shows off what cool
cruising and personal style were all about. You see it in the crisp
sheet metal, bright chrome bumpers, clear/clean glass, and Buick
Rallye wheels. It delivers a sharp-looking true vintage American
coupe.
The exterior's black accents prepare you for a sophisticated black
interior. It starts with the seats that have a dark color and a
comfy pillow-top velour. And as you look over the door panels,
carpeting, headliner, and all the details, you soon see that it's
all thoughtfully preserved. Even the premium wood-like trim feels
smooth. Because this is a full-size coupe, you've got room to bring
up to five family and friends along with ease. Or you can fold down
the middle armrest to give you a more individual luxury experience.
No matter how many people are along for the ride, they will all do
it in comfort. This came loaded from the factory with features such
as power windows, power locks, a tilt steering column, provisions
for air conditioning (it will need servicing and/or parts,) an
AM/FM stereo, cruise control, and elegant silver-backed gauges.
This Buick is loaded inside and out, and that goes for the engine
bay, too. The VIN tells us this was born with the optional 403
cubic-inch V8. So it's nice to see that the larger V8 displacement
is still under the hood today. We don't have info on if the motor
or mileage is original, but this does have the overall
well-preserved appearance where you would suspect they are correct.
Topped with a four-barrel carburetor, it has the kind of power that
allows this Buick to live up to its effortless cruiser image. The
TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is the right mix of stout
and smooth. Plus, power steering, power brakes, and front discs are
part of a good cruising package.
Preserved, distinct, and premium is a combo you rarely find this
affordable. That's why we know you're going to need to act fast to
take this Electra Limited home. Call now!
