Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1964 Dodge Polara two-door
hardtop coupe. This Polara has been owned by the same family since
new. It was purchased at Barker Motors in Attica, Indiana where it
remained until moving to Georgia in 1994 when the son of the
original owner inherited it.
This is a remarkably well-preserved original example - paint meter
readings confirm original paint on all panels; bumpers, grille and
chrome are in excellent original condition with a nice shine and no
discernible pitting or hazing. Nice original floors pans and
rockers with factory-applied undercoating intact and no known
rust.
Interior is likewise a study in originality, with original seat
upholstery, headliner, door panels, dash and steering wheel all in
excellent condition. Original carpet has faded slightly with age.
Gauges are clear and working, as are all lights, indicators,
switches and the original factory radio. Optioned with power
windows, all of which work except for the right rear.
Under the hood is a 318 cubic inch V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727
automatic transmission with push-button controls. Optioned with
power steering and power brakes. This Mopar starts easily and runs
and drives well - although we do not have comprehensive service
records to document the mileage, we believe the indicated mileage
of 65,000 is the actual original mileage due to this example's
overall state of preservation and driving dynamics.
Owner's books and original purchase invoice are included with the
sale. For more information about this 1964 Dodge Polara two-door
