This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Coupe is a quintessential 4-4-2,
with a 4 barrel, 4 speed manual transmission, and dual exhaust!
When the 4-4-2 initially debuted in the middle of 1964, it was
considered an option package for the F-85 Cutlass and consisted of
4 - single 4 barrel carburetor, 4 - 4 speed manual transmission,
and 2 - dual exhaust, along with a few other performance upgrades.
By the time 1968 rolled around, the muscle car era was in full
effect and the 442 with its brand new look became its own
standalone model within the Oldsmobile marque. In 1969, Olds kept
the changes to its 442 to a minimum. Gone were the vent windows,
and the ignition was relocated from the dash to the steering
column. Powering this Olds 442 is a 455 Cubic Inch V8 paired with a
single 4 barrel carburetor underneath a W-32 special dual intake
air cleaner with induction hoses. A 4 speed manual transmission
backs the 455 V8 engine and makes this muscle car an absolute blast
to drive. Exhaust exits through Flowmaster mufflers and out a dual
exhaust setup with trumpet tips, giving this 442 a nice throaty
sound. This 442 Hardtop has great options as well! With power front
disc brakes, this classic Oldsmobile muscle car has plenty of
stopping power considering all of that horsepower under the hood.
Power steering makes getting in and out of tight spaces at car
shows or the local drive in much easier, and improves the overall
driving experience. Riding on Super Stock II Wheels and Raised
Letter Radial Tires, this '69 4-4-2 has a great look and even
better ride. The exterior of this 1969 Olds 442 has been refinished
in a beautiful Platinum Silver, accented with painted black hood
stripes. The interior on this 1969 442 is superb! The front strato
bucket seats and rear bench seat have been reupholstered in
beautiful black vinyl. The black carpeting, door panels, steering
wheel, dash and center console all have a great look and appear to
be in their stock configuration. Getting in and out of this muscle
car is also much easier since the steering column features the
"tilt-away" tilt steering option. The dash is equipped with a 120
MPH speedometer, fuel gauge, AM radio, and indicator lights for oil
pressure, generator charging, temperature, and the parking brake. A
trifecta of Equus gauges are tucked neatly under the dash as well,
including gauges for water temperature, volts, and oil pressure so
that you can get an even better idea of what's going on with the
car at any time. Whether you're buying your first muscle car or
you're adding to you W Machine collection, this 1969 Oldsmobile 442
Holiday Coupe would make an excellent choice. Give us a call
