Stingray Pro-Touring Resto-Mod was the recipient of years of
comprehensive custom restoration to pro-touring specifications.
Built on a Paul Newman Corvette custom chassis with full C4
Corvette suspension, C5 front brakes with Z06 calipers and C4 rear
brakes with GT rotors, this Corvette combines Classic C2 design
with modern Corvette performance. The exterior has been finished to
show quality using a custom mix Cadillac Magnetic Metallic Red by
Greg Thurmond of GTS Customs and features GTS subtle custom widened
rear quarter panels to fit the larger wheel size. Under the hood
sits a custom 5.7-liter LS V8 engine paired to a 6-speed manual
Borg Warner transmission and a Dana 44 rear end with 3.90 gears.
Other notable features include LS3 manifolds with custom plumbed
side pipes and Ken Lingenfelter's signature on the coil covers. The
full leather custom interior features Autometer gauges, Hurst
shifter, Vintage Air system and a custom sound system. It rolls on
chromed custom Z51 wheels. Awards won by this Corvette include
Council of Corvette Clubs Mike Yager Celebrity Choice, Goodguys
Pacifica Northwest Nationals Award of Excellence and Part of the
100 Car Indoor Display of Excellence, Western Region Concours
