Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1978 Trans Am which is in fantastic overall condition and comes with its original Pontiac 400 engine.  This TA features the coveted upgraded WS6 handling package and the sought after upgraded W72 performance engine which is numbers matching to the car.  This TA is very solid and shows no signs of visible rust or patch panels.  This Trans Am features nice factory silver paint, a beautiful mostly stock deluxe black interior, the original 400 W72 Pontiac engine which has been rebuilt, plus 3 build sheets and numerous original dealer docs and brochures.  This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Silver over black deluxe vinyl interior.  This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheets pictured above.  This TA was sold new in Georgia and remained there until 6/2022.  The previous owner had the car for over 20 years.

Exterior

The Silver exterior is in very good overall stock condition.  This Trans Am has about 60% believed to be original paint with a few panels repainted.  The areas repainted blend nicely with the original areas.  The paint is in very good overall condition and both bumpers are in good shape.  There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos.  Tires are new with full tread on them and are sized 245/60/15 and the 15x8 OEM snowflake wheels are in great original shape.  All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition.  Trunk is very solid and clean with the original style trunk mat, spare space saver tire, and factory jack and lug wrench.

Interior

The Black deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in fantastic mostly original condition.  The seat covers are in like new condition with no noticeable wear and are very comfortable.  The carpet is in great shape with no major stains, rips, or holes.  The original dash is in good overall condition with fading and the dash bezel is in good condition as well.  A small dash repair was made above the glove box area.  The stereo was upgraded to a JVC CD player with new 6x9 rear speakers and a dash speaker with two professionally installed amps in the trunk.  The system sounds awesome and adds to the driving experience.  The original door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact.  The headliner was replaced and is like new and not sagging at all and package tray was replaced too and is like new.  All interior lights and gauges appear to work as they should.  The cigarette lighter works.  The stereo, wipers, horn, and blower motor all work.  This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.  The factory AC system is all in tact and the compressor spins freely but the AC appears to need a charge to blow cold.  It feels like its blowing cool air but not cold cold.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition and comes with the original W72 Pontiac 400 engine.  The numbers matching engine was rebuilt around 5000 miles ago and an upgraded Edelbrock aluminum intake was installed.  We have driven this TA numerous times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive.  In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well.  This Trans Am is an great driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds.  There is no smoke when starting or driving the car.  It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great.  The brakes do not pull and stop as they should.  The brakes were fully serviced with new front brake calipers and pads and hoses and new rear wheel cylinders were added.  True Flowmaster dual exhaust was added with ceramic coated headers and gives this TA and nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds.  Also, the engine clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.  This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and several wear items have been replaced.  The outstanding way this TA looks and drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA.
