Iconic Paul Bracq design, 3.5L M30 engine, 218 hp, 214 lbs of torque & late version 4spd automatic, wood trim, power/heated seat. 98,000 original miles. Two documented owners. I have owned it for the last 36 years. This car is an unrestored survivor.
Delphin Metallic (dark gray) with burgundy leather and gray wool carpets. Very good interior. Paint looks great from 15 feet. Clear coat has faded on the roof.
Car is in very good condition overall. Excellent bones. It has been driven consistently over the years but sparingly in the last ten years. Mechanically solid. good suspension, valves adjusted June 2022. Fuel injectors replaced 12/01/2022. Runs very well, accelerates smoothly, makes 100mph+ easily, tracks straight, brakes straight under heavy pressure. In the last couple of years, the suspension and bushings have been rebuilt or replaced. Exhaust is solid and tight. I replaced the ECU a couple of months ago. New MAF Sensor. New reference and flywheel sensors. Two year old battery, many hoses replaced. Wheels and tires are excellent. Wheels are aftermarket because I got tired of putting those expensive, Michelin special tires on it. Has a few minor electrical gremlins but basically, almost everything works. It's a 37 year old comparatively modern car. Over $9,000 in parts and labor in the last ten months. $5,000 before that on fuel system and suspension parts.
I have all receipts and service records going back to day ONE.
Absolutely no accidents and no rust. Never restored and all original with the exception of the wheels. Always garaged, always covered in the garage and always very well cared for. Consistently driven by only one driver. The paint is slightly faded on the roof and arguably, the car could stand a respray but still turns heads. It looks pretty darn good.
Serious inquiries only. Shark nose BMWs from the mid-80s are in a class by themselves. If you know anything about what it takes to keep a car like this in the condition it’s in, then you know what the costs of parts and labor look like. This has been an excellent car and needs a bit of TLC to be made perfect. I am happy to talk to you if you fall into that category.
