1985 BMW 735i E23
Iconic Paul Bracq design, 3.5L M30 engine, 218 hp, 214 lbs of torque & late version 4spd automatic, wood trim, power/heated seat. 98,000 original miles. Two documented owners. I have owned it for the last 36 years. This car is an unrestored survivor.
Delphin_Metallic (dark gray) with burgundy leather and gray wool carpets. Very good interior. Paint looks great from 15 feet. Clear coat has faded on the roof.
Car is in very good condition overall. Excellent bones. It has been driven consistently over the years but sparingly in the last ten years. Mechanically solid. good suspension, valves adjusted June 2022, runs well, makes 100mph easily, tracks straight, brakes straight under heavy pressure. In the last couple of years, the suspension and bushings have been rebuilt or replaced. Exhaust is solid. New MAF Sensor. New reference and flywheel sensors. Two yo battery, revamped hoses. Wheels and tires are excellent. Has a few minor electrical gremlins but basically, almost everything works. Over $9,000 in parts and labor in the last ten months. $5,000 before that on fuel system and suspension parts.
Absolutely no accidents and no rust. Always garaged, always covered in the garage and always very well cared for. Consistently driven by only one driver. Professionally buffed and detailed in January 2022. It looks pretty darn good.
Serious inquiries only. Shark nose BMWs from the mid-80s are in a class by themselves. If you know anything about what it takes to keep a car like this in the condition it’s in, then you know what the costs of parts and labor look like. I am happy to talk to you if you fall into that category.
