1971 CHEVROLET CAMARO REAL RS/Z-28! PERFORMANCE UPGRADES! The body
on this Camaro is straight down both sides and has nice fit and
finish. The paint is layed out evenly and has a very smooth glossy
finish. This car being a RS/Z-28 makes it a very desirable car. It
has front and rear spoilers and an upgraded steel cowl hood. The
black stripes are painted under the clearcoat. The exterior trim
was replaced including the front and rear bumpers, taillights,
emblems, door handles, front grill and marker lights. All the
window trim, weather stripping and window seals are new. It rides
on a set of Torq Thrust wheels with a set of 245/50/ZR16 on the
front and on the rear 255/50/ZR16, BFG Comp T/A radials for an
aggressive look. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its
spunky 350 ci motor with some performance upgrades: Victor Jr.
Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold with a dual feed Holley
carburetor, a set of Summit Racing aluminum heads, headers, an
upgraded HEI ignition, serpentine belt system, aluminum 4-core
radiator with an electric fan. It has a factory dual snorkel air
cleaner and factory Z-28 aluminum finned valve covers. The interior
was meticulously restored. Everything from the carpet to the
headliner is new and it all fits precisely too. It has the new
retro-tech gauges. The instrument panel was replaced and new dash
pad. The wiring harness was thoroughly gone through. It has custom
Pro-car Rally bucket seats with matching back seat. The center
console is really nice with a Hurst 4-speed shifter. The
undercarriage has some nice upgrades as well. Up front is all
rebuilt and has tubular control arms and a fatter sway bar. The
frame connectors tie the front to the back to prevent body twist.
All the body bushings and shocks were replaced. It has been
upgraded with disc brakes on all four corners. The bottom of the
motor is clean. It has a freshly rebuilt 4-speed transmission and
new clutch. There is a custom exhaust with electric cut-outs. The
floors are all clean metal and original, no rust or patches. It has
a new 3:46 posi rear end, new gas tank, sending unit and straps.
The E-brake is complete and working. The trunk compartment is solid
and original metal, even the quarters look to be original. It is
finished in black aqua splatter paint and has new weather
stripping. This is a fine example of a 2nd generation Camaro that
really stands out and performs very well.
