For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

It has an actual L78 396-375 hp motor. According to the tag this is an SS396, Lemans blue with a white top and deluxe houndstooth interior. It's been body off the frame restored.

EXTERIOR: What a looker! The white top works great with this color. The body looks mint. It is arrow straight, gaps are square and flush. No dents, rust, bubbles or issues. It has the SS hood and spoilers. The Lemans blue metallic is laid out evenly. It is polished to a glass finish. The hockey stick stripes are painted on smooth to the touch. It has the exterior trim package which includes quarter louvers, wheel well and gutter moldings. All of the exterior chrome and trim looks new. The black SS grill is mint. New windshield. 15 inch rally wheels have new shiny trim and BFG tires.

INTERIOR: It has a deluxe interior with desirable houndstooth upholstery. It's in excellent shape. It includes molded door panels in excellent shape. The dash area is mint. It has wood grain trim, factory tachometer and clock upgraded with quartz movement. Heater control panel, ashtray and lighter, dash pad, glovebox lighter were replaced. It has a retro stereo. It is a tilt column with a mint steering wheel. The seats have good cushions with recent upholstery. The seatbelts look like new. Headliner and visors were replaced. The center console is excellent and has factory gauges. The plastic trim, headrests, carpet, speaker tray are excellent. Interior lights all work.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has an actual L-78 motor- code JD 1969 396-375 hp motor. Correct rectangular port heads with matched GM aluminum intake. Correct exhaust manifolds, dual feed Holley carb, chrome valve covers and air cleaner. It even has correct deep groove pulleys. Reproduction GM hoses and clamps, upgraded aluminum radiator. Delco battery topper and spring clamp cables. Cadmium plated power brake booster. Squirters and horns are hooked up. Every component looks factory new. The metal surfaces are painted smooth. It's a detailed compartment.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is detailed and complete. Under the lid and jambs are slick. Solid floor is neatly spatter painted. New weatherstrip and mat. Painted rim for a spare.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame and all the components were removed. The underside of this car is smooth clean metal painted semi gloss black. There is no rust at all. The front end components were rebuilt. The controlarm bushings, ball joints, shocks, springs, steering components, subframe bushings were replaced. In back the springs bushings, shocks and hardware were replaced. It has a correct reproduction exhaust system with the transverse muffler and flare cut stainless tips. All new fuel system including the tank, straps, sending unit and lines. The brakes were completely rebuilt- new hoses, lines, e-brake assembly, it has disc in front. Looking up at the motor it is immaculate Chevy Orange, has a high torque starter. Autodyne rebuilt Muncie 4-speed. Rebuilt drive shaft connects to a 12 bolt rear.

This Camaro is exceptional! I like everything about it- condition, colors, options, sound etc.
