For Sale: 1933 Ford Coupe in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

4-speed! I rarely see a 4-speed in one of these cars. This is supposed to be a fresh build at a cost of $80,000 at a nearby shop. It is sharp looking, not outdated.

EXTERIOR: Classic hot rod: Full fendered 3 window chopped coupe with suicide doors. Excellent fiberglass body is straight, fits nice and no damage. It has a smooth clean look with no handles or trim. The paint is very smooth and glossy. Hand pinstriped by Brando in blue for some pop. It has a metal hood, recessed license plate, flush mounted taillights and a 3rd brake light in the window. The windows open by remote, then you can reach in and open the door. New smoked glass, the rear window rolls down. It has a power antenna. The running boards are covered in ribbed rubber, you can stand on them. It does have chrome bumpers and mirrors. Real sharp Billet Specialties wheels. They are 15 inch in front, 17s in back and much wider. The tires still have the nubs on the tread.

INTERIOR: The entire inside is upholstered and has a nice embossed pattern. Comfortable seat with adjustable backs and center armrests. It has safety locks for the suicide doors. Clean looking dash with matched set of gauges, Vintage Air controls and vents. The stereo is overhead, speakers are behind the seats and in the kick panels. Beautiful leather wrapped steering wheel on a tilt column. On the floor it has a Hurst 4-speed and a Lokar e-brake. Ignition, power window switches and headlight is hidden out of site.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Performance built 327 motor with an edelbrock intake and a big dual feed Holley carb, MSD ignition and coated headers. It has a Vintage Air system with polished components. Polished 1 wire alternator. A big electric fan pulls air through the Walker radiator. It has dual reservoirs for the brakes and one for the hydraulic clutch. The engine bay is smooth painted gloss black.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has an electric lift. It is completely boxed and upholstered with an embossed pattern. The floor is carpeted. It matches the interior. The battery is behind a panel.

UNDERSIDE: Boxed frame with tubular supports painted gloss black. Upfront has a Speedway suspension and steering with a dropped axle, transverse leaf spring with tubular trailing arms, rack and pinion steering. In back is a four link system with tubular control arms, coil over adjustable gas shocks, panhard bar, and anti swaybar. The brake system was entirely new. In front it has disc, braided stainless hoses and it has an emergency break system. The fuel tank is painted gloss black, it has a cartridge fuel filter and a fuel line that runs inside the frame. It has a dual exhaust system. Looking up at the motor it is clean, has a remote dual oil filter system. It has a heavy duty scatter shield, hydraulic clutch, M-21 Munci 4-speed transmission, and a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. A new drive shaft connects to a Ford 9 inch rear end. Under the car it has remote battery terminals and a hidden button to open the door. The floors are gloss black.

If you want a 4-speed I wouldn't hesitate. I can't remember the last time I've had one that wasn't an automatic. It is a sharp looker- colors, stance, wheels are hot. The air conditioning is cold!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
