This 1982 Porsche 928 is an affordable European driving machine
that's built for grand touring comfort. With fuel-injected V8
power, a five-speed, and an ideal weight distribution, this is an
affordable head-turner. We even have a recent receipt for a major
tune-up to make sure it continues to be a blast to drive.
The 928 has aged gracefully as it has become a classic in its own
right. The smooth and purposeful lines still generate a ton of
attention out on the road. They have a commanding presence that's
both sleek and wide, which was earned as being the most expensive
Porsche in their thoroughbred stable by a wide margin. The lines of
the car are quite complete, but 40 years later, and it is showing
its age. We think it's kind of cool to have a strong-running
Porsche that also has patina, but for all others, the value price
should leave room in your budget for personalization and
improvements. Regardless of your intentions, it still crisply
carries all the distinctive elements that were on so many bedroom
walls growing up. After all, every time you raise the flush-mounted
headlights, people instantly take notice.
The grand touring nature of the 928 means this was the Porsche with
the most room for everyone. In fact, all four seats are
leather-wrapped buckets to provide the best individual comfort.
There are nice features like power windows, power locks, and an
AM/FM/cassette stereo. There are also provisions for air
conditioning and a power sunroof - they will just need servicing to
fully function again. Even with a long list of features, this coupe
never loses sight of making the driver a priority. You feel it with
the high-back bucket seat, long center console, and sports steering
wheel on a tilt column to give you a clear view of the full gauges
(the speedometer and odometer are currently inoperative.) And that
stick shift really lets you dig into the deep tones of the
engine.
Under the hood is Porsche's fuel-injected 4.5-liter motor. The
overhead-cam V8 provides the best of both worlds as it has great
low-end power at the stoplights, and yet it sings a high-octane
tune to redline like an exotic when you enjoy the car to the
fullest. And we have a $3,500 receipt from September 2021
documenting a nice tune-up on this V8. The exhaust note is truly a
symphony for the ears that you control all with the proper
five-speed manual transmission. The transaxle setup makes for a
wonderfully balanced feeling on the road, and that's exactly where
this car belongs. It has so many great driving features, including
a fully independent sports suspension, power steering, cruise
control, and four-wheel disc brakes.
Complete with owner's manual, you've dreamed about the 928 for a
long time, and right now the Porsche mystique and performance is
briefly within reach. Call today!!!
