1966 SS396 CHEVELLE - REAL "138" SUPER SPORT FRAME-OFF RESTORED ORIGINAL

We just acquired this very nice, real (138 v.i.n. code) 1966 Chevelle SS-396. An extensive "frame-off" restoration was completed in 2021 by the previous owner and his son who is a professional body tech at a local new car dealership. He told us that the car is an original 64,000 mile car, with a body that is 100% original except for the right 1/4 panel which he replaced using a GM replacement panel and after our own inspection it is all appears to be true. This body is incredibly straight, super solid and extremely clean including the floors, trunk and frame which all have been painted and treated with "POR-15" rust inhibitor. It also has perfect gaps and fitment. A body like this is in a 56 year old car is extremely hard to find. It is very-very nice!! The "REGAL RED" 2 stage paint is super slick and smooth and is also correct for this car. It has been buffed and polished to a deep luster and brilliant show car shine. Most of the chrome, trim and glass also appear to be original and are in like new condition too. The black bucket seat with factory console interior has also been restored new including the seats, carpets, door panels and headliner. It is also very-very nice!! This beautiful Chevelle is powered by a correct "ED" code 1966 Chevelle 396 c.i. 325 h.p. engine that was also rebuilt during the extensive restoration. We were told they used flat top pistons and a Lunati roller cam but all we know for sure is that it sounds awesome and runs surprisingly strong. Way more than the 325h.p. that GM claimed it to be. It is backed up by a good shifting Munci 4 speed transmission using a new Hurst Super Competition Plus shifter and a 12 bolt posi-traction rear with 4:10 gears. Other features include, factory original power steering, power disc brakes (front only) F-41 rear suspension, HEI ignition, custom dual exhaust, 15" US MAG "BOSS" wheels and lots-lots more. If you are in the market for a beautifully restored original and real "138" Super Sport Chevelle then you found it because it sure doesn't get much better then this!! DON'T MISS IT !!
