HIGHLIGHTS: Nice driver-quality C4 with a little surprise under the
hood! Lowered on newer Corvette-style wheels, dual exhaust, hopped
up fuel-injected LT-1 stroker! Trickflow aluminum heads and Hedman
Hedders! Get ready to burn rubber!!
BODY OVERVIEW: The exterior is in nice condition; especially for a
134k mile car that has seen some serious road use. Sitting on a set
of newer black Corvette-style wheels, this car has a unique look!
There are some bumps and scrapes to be found, but that can be
expected with a 37-year-old modified sports car.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This Corvette has been refinished in what
looks to be Sebring Silver paint with a gloss black tail panel and
hood stripe accent. There are some minor, normal signs of wear as
would be expected, such as paint chips, nicks, etc. as shown in the
photos. This car has almost certainly received a full repaint in
the past. The targa top has a carbon fiber style vinyl wrap, and
it's the perfect accent against the silver paint.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is in condition
consistent with the condition of the rest of the car. There are
normal defects and wear, as seen in the photos. Additionally, the
interior was previously red, and the red is beginning to show
through the black dye. Nonetheless, the C4 interior is timeless! It
is hard to believe that GM would get 12 years out of this same
design! If you can look past the interior wear and tear, you have
yourself a nice comfortable weekend warrior here.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a 5.7 liter LT-1 V8 hooked
up to a 4 speed automatic transmission. But wait, there's more!
Though under the hood it may just look like the engine had some
cosmetic adjustments made, according to the previous owner this car
had a significant amount of engine work done including exchanging
the 5.7L for a 383ci V8. It also has Trickflow aluminum heads and
Hedman Hedders! This engine retained enough factory look that it
sure looks like it belongs there. Plus the original LT-1 fuel
injection is still in place and operational! While we don't have
any paperwork to back up the mechanical changes that have been
done, this car speaks for itself-both idling and under power. This
is not your average mid-80s Corvette, because this puppy will rip!
This 'Vette is a tire-killer ready to make some noise!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The modifications and the price
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: The modifications aren't for
everyone. We're looking at you, Corvette purists!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The A/C and heater are not currently
operational due to a non-functioning blower motor. Additionally,
the horn and emergency brake do not work.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone with an empty space in
their driveway and a heavy right foot!
