Vehicle Description
1988 Dodge D250 ton with the solid 360 5.9 liter 8 cylinder
engine Only 152,086 miles on this truck with a long bed and 2WD
with a manual transmission. It was well taken care of as explained
in more detail below and this will make a great truck for someone.
Engine is extremely strong if you ever wanted to pull a camper with
it or trailer or use it with a truck camper since most all truck
campers require a ton truck or 1 ton rather than a ton. I
originally purchased it to use with a 5th wheel camper, but never
did this. I did install a heavy-duty trailer hitch on this since it
was not used for towing much over years since it had the standard
factory bumper hitch on this. I only used it three times to haul a
heavy 8,500-pound travel trailer and it hauled it with ease since
this truck is geared low to haul heavy things. The truck is ready
to go with the following done over the last two years like new
tires (only 2k on them), AC blows cold air, changed all the belts,
new fluids, aligned properly, new brakes, new yokes on drive shaft,
spark plugs, belts, carburetor cleaned and serviced, new battery,
etc., and all new fluids in the differential, coolant, brake fluid,
yokes on driveshaft, wiper blades, etc. Just to be on the safe side
my mechanic also put in a new rear end since the original one was a
little worn down and we didn't want to take any chances if I would
be hauling a 5th wheel camper with it which I never did though.
Also, I use the special Lucas oil in everything from the engine to
the rear end differential since this a great investment to keep
this truck going strong for years down the road. As you can see
from the photos there is a few cosmetic small dents which is common
for an older vintage truck. The original paint still looks sharp
except for on top the hood and roof which is common for these Dodge
trucks since those two places it is faded slightly. Camper Topper -
Keeping it unless the buyer desperately wants it.
